Supplements after birth

So I am currently 38+2 and have come to the end of my pregnacare max. I have bought another box and then I have a box of breastfeeding supplements for after birth. However it seems a waste to open the new box if I might potentially only use a few days or half a pack. Are the pregnancy and breastfeeding supplements similar? Could I finish off the pregnacare if I open the box and then move to the breastfeeding or start on breastfeeding now? Pregnacare is so expensive to waste that I’m wondering if I could take them back. If there is any risk whatsoever then I will take the supplement intended for each stage.

We ended up in this situation because I picked up 2x 3 month packets of the pregnancy tablets instead of 1 3month and 1 1month.
You can find the list of vitamins covered for both online from recollection the main difference was more calcium in the breastfeeding vitamins, so I'll pick up some calcium tablets when I start breastfeeding.
If it's the other way around just check that the amount of anything extra isn't harmful - for most vitamins you have to be WAY over the recommended amount as they are water soluble so your body takes what it needs and you pee out the rest. There are 4 fat soluble ones which you have to be more careful with - which I think are vitamin A (shouldn't be taken in pregnancy), D, E and K, so you might want to check the quantities of these a little more carefully.

In general there shouldn't be much of a difference but a quick comparison should put your mind at ease
