Please don’t laugh (or do, I realise I’m bonkers)
A tiny bit of backstory. I miscarried in 2014 at around this stage. It kick started ICD and I’ve since blamed myself. I’m a terribly anxious person. Anyway - I got a scare earlier which made me jump - enough to cause a big shot of adrenaline. Almost immediately after I started getting cramps. Can anyone share their experiences and were your babies ok?? I’ve not stopped crying and convincing myself of the worst as I’m only 4 weeks and up until I jumped in shock I felt fine 😔

Anyone had anything similar?

I’ve not had quite the same but I slipped down the stairs whilst pregnant last year. A couple of days later, I started bleeding and the pregnancy ended as a chemical. Whilst logically I know it was always going to end that way, I can’t help but think it had something to do with it.

OP, I really hope your cramping is nothing to worry about.

Hi OP

I haven't had anything similar but I have read that some women experience cramping around the time they would have normally had their period so if you're 4 weeks that may be the case. I think you just need to take it easy and try and think positive :)

If something making you jump during pregnancy led to a miscarriage then the birth rate would be a heck of a lot lower! I know it’s easier said than done, but try to relax.

Aww poor you, I know every twinge especially after mc before is scary

We'll I can't say for certain but sharing experiences... So this time I was very crampy and twingey from early on so even sitting on the floor hurts, the relaxin hormone can really cause cramps with movement in early days

Also, I'm epileptic and with dd I often fell and bumped or jerked or fell and never hurt baby luckily.

At 4 weeks baby is so tiny, so far down that I want to say it would be unlikely to cause issues but I understand worry and if it persists or gets worse, bleeding etc get checked out

Congratulations and wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy

It's normal for some cramping in early pregnancy as long as it's not extremely painful, and there's no bleeding don't worry too much, maybe the shock caused you to tense yourself muscles and they're just contracting xxx
