Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has any advise on how to help with trapped wind!
Im 11 weeks and I have found that I have been quite gassy lately (soz for the too much info) however the past 3 nights I have woken up with my (upper) stomach in pain with trapped wind however last night was the worst... I woke up, went to the toilet and was liturally doubled up on the floor with pain in my stomach 😭 after a few moments I got myself back up went back to bed and eventually it eased off! I fell back to sleep and woke up fine this morning!
Does anyone have any ideas of anything I can take/drink before bed to prevent it happening again? Or if it happens again a quick fix to help ease it? Or anything I can do to prevent it?
Thanks x

Peppermint tea really helped me. And rocking on the toilet sometimes made a bit of difference to try and get some movement to try and get the gas out 🙈.

Hope it eases for you, around 11-12 weeks it stopped being such a bit problem for me but was surprised how painful it was so really feel for you.

Same as above, peppermint tea is a must for trapped mind! I drink it before bed and during the day aswell

Lie on your back and pull your knees to you chest. You might have to do it a few times at different speeds. Do this in privacy or you’ll end up embarrassed haha

Yoga poses for wind are a thing. Need to get bum in air and chest to floor. Squats.

I used this yoga routine to relieve mine when it got really bad. It isn't a pregnancy specific routine but since you're still in first trimester, you should still be fine to do the moves on your back and those with knees up to your chest etc. ☺️
