Anyone pregnant and breastfeeding?

Just wondering how it's going?

I'm 7weeks pregnant. Ds is 12months old.
I was still breastfeeding him up to 4 times a day until last week. Then he lost interest in day feeds (after morning & afternoon nap). Now he doesn't want his night or first thing in the morning feed (which he usually loves). So I'm wondering if this is the end of our journey? Perhaps my milk tastes different. My supply has definitely decreased.

I was still hoping to carry on though and surprised it has (potentially) ended this soon.

Interested to hear other experiences

Haven’t any experience myself (breastfeeding 10m/o, not pregnant yet) however my mum got pregnant with my brother when I was just over 1 and I apparently lost interest In breast milk about a third of the way into her pregnancy. Sounds totally normal to me although some babies do still keep at it Smile

I've not bf-d while pregnant but I think the taste of the milk does change due to hormones. You can persevere with the feeding, treating this like a 'nursing strike', and you may well get through this fussy stage. On the other hand, if you're ready to stop then that's fine too. I took advantage of a nursing strike when ds1 was 18mo and that ended breastfeeding for us, which I was happy with. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

27 weeks and feeding my nearly 3 year old, however by the time I got to about 12 weeks she cut out all day feeding and now only feeds to sleep at night. It’s been a nice gradual reduction, and I’m happy she’s only feeding once a day now. I have no idea what will happen when baby arrives though...

I was feeding my little boy (19 months) when I fell pregnant. We were down to one feed a day last thing at night. I found by about 10 weeks he wasn’t interested anymore. He would latch for about 10 seconds and come off. To be honest I found my nipples were quite tender and I was ready to give up by that point although initially I had wanted to tandem feed.

My middle son continued to feed throughout my pregnancy. He did spend less time nursing but didn’t ever stop, once the baby was born I tandem fed and when my milk came back in all it’s glory the eldest loved it. I stopped feeding them at 3 and 2. I’ve got 4 children and the 2 who had dummies were never as interested in feeding as their siblings who didn’t have them. My eldest stopped bf at 13 months as he much preferred his dummy and actual food.

I fed my 16mo up to 17 weeks pregnant. I hadn't dried up but had a massive reduction in supply and they coupled with he aversion drove me mad. He was only feeding before bed anyway and could take it or leave it so the transition wasn't an issue for us x

I fed my first child through 7 months of my second pregnancy, at which point she'd massively reduced her feeds to just once a day, before her nap. We stopped the day she turned 18 months old and she never asked again. I liked feeding her but was keen to have a decent gap before baby arrived, so my daughter didn't get jealous. Baby #2 is now 19 months old and feeding relentlessly, so I do wonder if my daughter's disinterest was caused by the pregnancy.

I was bf while pregnant nothing changed for me. Ds still fed all the way through. When ds2 was born I didnt have to wait for my milk to come in there wasnt loads but i didnt get the huge boobs couple of days later. I'm still tandem feeding now though ds1 is down to one feed a day. Just make sure to feed baby 1st then toddler. Supply will sort itself out.
