Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this! I am 26 weeks pregnant, now single. All The way through I've been so excited but suddenly I have anxiety about the whole thing, birth, managing post birth and so on.

Today I've really become so overwhelmed and I can't stand people saying to me 'you'll be fine'. I don't think I will!

It's completely normal to feel nervous. You're over half way then you think 'oh shit, I got to get this baby out of me' Grin. Chances are you will be fine. Birth isn't as scary for all or induction.
I was induced with DS and my experience was good. DS was back to back too but I'd do it again in a heart beat. I loved giving birth Blush

And it's completely normal to feel a bit low after pregnancy but if you feel very low your midwives are there to speak to Smile

I think it’s pretty common to feel this way as you get closer to the big day! I’m at 32 weeks and am regularly having flutters of anxiety (sometimes sheer panic!) about the whole thing!
I think it’s related to quite an extent by fear of the unknown/lack of control, so have you thought about your preferences for birth inc position, pain relief etc? I also believe the Positive Birth Company courses are supposed to be very good for calming any fears about childbirth and helping you to re-frame your thoughts towards it. The courses aren’t v expensive.
I am electing for a c-section and now I’ve made my decision I feel much better about things because I feel more in control. I’m also thinking about doing a couple of online courses to try to feel more confident about things in case labour starts before my op date!
Lastly, I don’t think it helps to deny the fear - I have openly admitted to myself that I’m apprehensive but that’s ok. It’s a very big deal and a massive event in anyone’s life. We are bound to be afraid but what an amazing prize we receive at the end - and during it, there will be lots of expertise and pain relief on offer!!! So my emotions are balanced with the pragmatic thoughts that say that we will be ok. Flowers
