Food aversions!

Has anyone got any weird specific food aversions?! I'm 11+4 and had the brunt of my morning sickness at 7- 10 weeks but still suffer from food aversions! I can't bear the thought of any meat 🤢 cant even walk down the meat aisle in a supermarket. I also can't stomach drinks that aren't fizzy 🤷🏼‍♀️. I can't get enough peaches and nectarines though! It's so weird isn't it?!

I'm exactly the same with meat, I've really gone off it and struggle to eat much meat at the moment. I can't even prepare raw chicken! 🤢

I've gone off fish, anything that gets heated up in the microwave and BBQ sauce.
Literally can't handle any of it, just makes me want to throw up and I've been one of the lucky ones who didn't get morning sickness!

The smell of butter in a pan makes me feel soooo ill 😩😩😩

Brownies for me. I start retching if I think about them.

I’m also off meat, sweets and anything in a sauce.

I’m still queasy about coffee and anything oily! Now 11+6 so most symptoms easing (and I never had them very badly) but those aversions remain.

Had baby now, but the first trimester I was sick 24/7 and lived on toffees and ready salted crisps. However, just thinking about or reading about feta would have me full on retching - of course my work canteen had to choose that as their ingredient of choice (it was summer) and I couldn't get away from the stuff! Even over a year later I'm a bit iffy about it.

The only aversions I had were the taste of water (who knew that had a taste?) and ginger.... It didn't help my pregnancy sickness!

TimeWastingButFun · 02/06/2020 15:34

I couldn't bear the smell of cooked lamb during pregnancy - took years to like it again!

18+6 now and still repulsed by meat, can't even think the word chicken or face anything greasy. But thankfully everything else back to normal... weeks 5-13 could hardly face anything... and the few things I could then I now can't because they remind me of feeling sick!

Songsofwhales · 02/06/2020 21:54

With my first pregnancy I was absolutely repulsed by meat flavoured crisps. Could smell them on my husband if he'd had a bag hours earlier. The thought of them still makes me feel sick 2+ years later!
Am currently very early into my pregnancy with baby number 2 and today had a horrible reaction to the inside of a cucumber- the white, watery bit in the middle. Turned my stomach and it's making me feel sick just thinking about it now! Pregnancy is odd!

MS/nausea started last week and my first aversion was butter. I had run out of the light spread I usually use but had some proper butter I keep for baking. I spread it on my toast, took a couple of bites, and then had to run to the bathroom to be sick. Can't even think about butter now without feeling like I want to vomit.

Currently 6+4 and can only stomach ready salted crisps, lettuce and ice lollies. Everything else makes me feel sick.

Fed the dog this morning and put his food bowl at the other side of the house to where I was sat, could still smell it and it was making me gag! (must be the heightened sense of smell)

Oh I cannot wait for this part to be over. I am going to stuff my face with all my favourite foods!

I've gone off chicken and broccoli, things I used to pretty much eat everyday. Im 30 weeks now and just the thought of broccoli still makes me feel nauseous, hoping I'll like it again after the baby!!

beelzeboob · 02/06/2020 22:19

I had an aversion to water in my first trimester. And rice. In fact the only food I really enjoy eating now I’m in my second trimester is fruit
