Small amount of blood in stool? Should I be concerned?

Just wondering whether someone could help me please.
Just been to the loo, first initial wipe there appeared to be some blood, maybe about 3 lots of 5p size(?) and then I small amount mixed in with faeces, enough for me to worry that it might have been coming out of my vagina.. definitely wasn’t.
It didn’t hurt to go and there was no further blood so I don’t think its a tear.
Never had this before, should I be worried? Not eaten copious amounts of beetroot so it’s no that. I am 7+4, first pregnancy.
Thanks in advance, sorry for the grim question x

Have you been constipated? If the blood was bright red and fresh-looking it is likely a small internal tear or internal hemorrhoid and absolutely nothing to worry about (I've had it before when not even pregnant). Keep an eye on it and if it starts happening frequently then speak to your doctor or midwife or if you are just super worried then give you doctor a call but I am fairly certain they will say the same thing - especially if this is the first time. If you aren't in any pain then great - hemorrhoids can get painful if outside the anus.
If the blood looks black or dark red then call your GP as it will maybe be something else.

Hello,

I had this myself the other but so much blood it looked like a period! I spoke with my doctor on the phone and as I know I already have a haemorrhoid they said bleeding is more common during pregnancy as there is more pressure. They told me not to worry but if it continued over the weekend then to book an appointment but it didn't. You can also buy over the counter items that help soften the stool

Internal piles are common and I have them. Had them for years!
Every now and again they will get worse and when I go to the toilet the pan is just full of blood! If I'm constipated they do become external but do go back in.
It usually looks a lot more than it actually is.
Pregnancy can cause it to flare up.
But! If you end up in pain or as pp said, the blood becomes really dark then get straight in to your GP.
Have a word with them anyway, as they have me an internal gel to help and also helps them shrink a little.
