Hi Guys,

First timer here and looking to get a Travel System for Baba which is due in November!
Saving for Travel System and lucky that family is offering to contribute so wanted to make a decision sooner rather than later!
I've had the I-Candy Peach and Mama's and Papa's Ocarro suggested by friends and I've seen that there larger bundles are around £1200.

Is there any other systems you guys would suggest? Or if you have one of these two, could you give me some help to choose between the two! I feel lost having never had a little one before!!

Thanks in advance ladies!

I sell icandy, fabulous prams.
Come with a 5 year warranty which is transferable if you sell the pram
Can make it a double (costs around £250)
Stylish
Great basket!

Unfortunately I don't sell mamas and papas so I have no knowledge only thing I have heard previous customers say it's very heavy

Also, I'd look at the Cybex priam as an option.
I personal favourite or mine!

I have the M&P Occarro. It's great. Copes well off-road and with kerbs and cobbles. Have a look at all the colours because some are really expensive and others are hundreds of £ cheaper!! We ended up buying all the bits separately in chestnut brown. The foot muff is quite pricey but definitely worth it as it's saves the pushchair seat from baby sick, nappy explosions and in later months food crumbs from the inevitable on the go snacks. As the covering part zips off ours stays on pretty much all year too.
The fold up size is slightly smaller with the seat forward facing than parent facing.
Our carry cot didn't get much use as baby was very long and hated lying completely flat. The pushchair hood is completely attached to the frame with a zip close mesh for ventilation and the seat lies completely flat for newborns. I felt safer with the harness padded covers taken off so the straps had a closet fit to baby. The basket underneath is a good size. The cup holder is a bit gimmicky, it rotates too easily for my liking. The rain cover is amazing. My LO was out in the pouring rain at work and it never leaked or blew off.
The wheels click on and off really easily and you can wheel it along the floor folded up. No need to take seat off to fold and you really can do it with a screaming baby in your other arm!

I have a M+Ps occaro travel system. I like it. It all fits together really well, easily and intuitively. Loads of space underneath for whatever you want. Seems sturdy - we've taken it across country paths in fields and it held up well 😂

I've got an occuro, not used it yet as baby isn't here yet. We got the travel system at the baby show with really good discounts, they're doing some virtual baby shows now so might be worth keeping an eye out.

thanks these are all really helpful! I've 'booked' to go to an outlet store in the next few weeks so I'll get to see how easy they are to manoeuvre!

Before I got pregnant I always thought that I’ll go for iCandy Peach - just really liked the look of them. But after doing some research online and trying a few travel systems in store before lockdown, we decided to go for Bugaboo Fox. It is nicer to push and steer and feels more firm than iCandy peach in our opinion. We had to pre-order our Fox 2 as they’ve just come out and it was delivered to us last week. All assembled and tested (not with baby though as only due in a few weeks) and so far we are very pleased with it! Smile Sorry, can’t say anything about Occarro as never really considered that one.

Have you considered the iCandy Lime? It looks the same as the Peach but is a lot cheaper. The only real difference is it can't be converted into a double, so depends if you were wanting another baby soon whereby you would need a double pram? I got the bundle from John Lewis for £800ish which came with all the extras we need (foot muff, changing bag, car seat adapters, rain cover etc.) If you do go for iCandy be warned there is a knack to folding them! I thought mine was faulty and sent it back, only to Google and find out the technique - now, it is super easy to fold!

bogoblin · 01/06/2020 22:29

We considered the Peach but went for the Lime in the end, mostly down to the one piece fold and fact that it was lighter. Not used it yet but it handles nicely from kitchen to living room and feels really good quality.

I looked at both these travel systems and ended up with the Cybex priam instead. I found it easier to manoeuvre and seemed the most robust and well made after I saw them all in person. To be honest though, I doubt you will go wrong with either of your choices, as I have friends who love both

omtotheg · 01/06/2020 23:25

Another suggestion would be Uppababy Cruz or vista. Worth a look at the reviews are very good for both.

BabyDancer · 02/06/2020 07:57

We're getting an UppaBaby Vista 2 🙂

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 02/06/2020 08:46

We have a Peach, the double one. It is OK - very robust and will go over grass and rough surfaces very well - but at least with the double it is very heavy, the shopping basket is tiny and you have to remove the seat to fold it down so a pain on the train. We switched to a Joie umbrella-style folding one and it's much better for public transport and being out and about (though less robust and not nearly as pretty)

Rara88Cas · 02/06/2020 13:18

oooo! not heard of the Lime - I'll have a look sounds much more reasonable - and we aren't planning on needed a double!

Does the Lime have a car seat setting?

OP posts:
bogoblin · 02/06/2020 15:12

Yes, it comes with car seat adaptors!

I originally looked at the Peach but when we looked closer at the Lime it just seemed more in tune with what we needed from it - didn't seem quite as bulky, it's got a one-piece fold so folds with the seat unit on, and when you fold it it has a strap as well for closing the fold and helping to carry it. If you shop around a bit - I must have looked at dozens of pram sites! - you can get the "plus" or the "lifestyle" bundle, which comes with a bag and footmuff as well as everything else, for a pretty good deal
