Anyone else experiencing this delight in the heat? 27 weeks and my legs and hands are really puffy the last few days- my legs especially. I had very bad swelling later on in my first pregnancy and it’s nowhere tHt stage yet but still annoying and makes me feel self conscious and worry about what is to come!

I have a trick to keep my feet cool. Buy yourself a peppermint foot spray and spray it liberally over your feet then turn your fan on, or if your in the car put the air con, directly on your feet.

Total heaven! 🥰

My feet have been swollen and sweaty even in sandals so I've been sat with them in a bucket of cold water when I've been in the garden lol. I never really enjoyed the heat and now I'm pregnant I definitely don't!

Try and elevate them, even your hands, and relax them in some cool water. Mention it to your midwife, I'm sure it's just the heat but if anywhere else gets puffy (like face) it can indicate pre eclampsia. My first baby was born in a heatwave and the last few weeks were hell. My feet looked like sides of gammon! X

Best to check with the midwife as I had Pre eclampsia at 26 weeks.

My feet are awful, one worst than other. I keep putting frozen peas on them and it does help!

Thanks I will try the spray for sure! I developed pre eclampsia in my first pregnancy at 36 weeks after 6 weeks of severe swilling so iv Been monitoring my own blood pressure and urine for protein this time around and both ok so far just the swelling is starting again. Hopefully it’s mostly the heat, thanks for the replies and hoping you all keep well and swelling improves for those of you that have it!
