Reduced movement 19 weeks

Hi all

I started to get flutters at 17/18 weeks. By the time I was 19 weeks I was feeling stronger movements on a daily basis. However I haven't felt anything all day today! I know the baby is still small so it might have tucked itself into another position. I've tried drinking something cold, lying on my side after a meal but I can't seem to feel anything today.
Just wondering if anyone experienced the same?
I don't know if I should try and be seen but I don't think I will be as 19 weeks might be too soon for regular movement

Maybe I'm just driving myself crazy!

This is normal. You can ring for advice but here they don't expect you to monitor regular movement until 26 weeks. Before 23 weeks, I was always told it was easy for them to tuck away and for movement to disappear for periods of time.

I didn't even feel any of mine at 19 weeks. They're so small you're unlikely to feel regular movements yet.

I had this too, and it's only now I'm 23 weeks I've started to get stronger movements and actual little kicks. If your worried though, I would call your mid wife for reassurance x

I am 20 weeks and started feeling kicks around a week ago! I had one day where I didn’t feel her and got so upset over it! But then the next morning she was going crazy. Had my 20 week scan today and little one is perfectly healthy! The feelings will come and go until they are big enough :)

I've been having strong kicks from 18 weeks and my baby boy seems to have got himself into a routine, so I know when to expect kicks and wriggles.
At 20 weeks I had a day where he just didn't move. Given the high movement I'd experienced two weeks prior I posted on here too about it.
Basically if you're concerned call the maternity unit. They had me in straight away and checked my temperature, blood pressure, urine and of course baby's heartbeat. All was well he had just moved into a position where I couldn't feel him as much.
If you are worried just give the maternity unit a call!
As I was told, better to be overly cautious then just to leave it.
I'm sure everything is fine with you but at least you have the option x

At this stage, all they'd do is check for a heartbeat and if there is one send you on your way. Personally, I'd wait a bit before calling in as odds are the fetus has just changed position. It's only about the size of a mango at this point- if it's facing the wrong way you won't feel it.

Thanks for your responses everyone's it's really reassuring to hear that people have gone through similar

I think I will wait to see what the baby's movements are like tomorrow before I call midwife.

@FourPlasticRings you're right baby is still small so it's hopefully just a position move

By all means call up if you're worried but just to reassure you, this sounds completely normal. Your baby is tiny with plenty room to move around and the slightest change in position can make a difference to what you can feel.
I didn't feel movements at all until over 22 weeks and, even now at 29 weeks, there are days where she is less active than others.
I would say she's only just starting to establish a proper pattern now.
