What did you morning sickness actually feel like?

In the subject really. Does it gradually get worse and then better or is it just constant? About mid morning I have this sudden wave of nausea where I feel I could actually be sick, by the time I've composed myself and figured out there's a bathroom near me and I can make it, it goes! Maybe 30-60 seconds tops. Then later in the afternoon I'll feel a little car sick - it's the only way I can describe it. Probably a few minutes. Then I'm ok again. This can then not happen for 4 days before I get another little wave! Not wishing on more but is this my morning sickness? I guess I thought it would be harsher! I'm 7+5. What are your experiences??

Some actual sickness but mainly it was as if my taste buds had been hijacked. Very thing tasted weird and unpalatable. Bread and butter for instance became intolerable.
Motion sickness worsened and I had a few awful spells on boats and in cars. It sort of dampened my appetite.

With DD I would get up feeling ok, then within half an hour start feeling nauseous, it would build and I’d have to go and get sick, and then I’d feel fine for the rest of the day. That happened about once every third day, from about 7-14 weeks, and then came back about 18 weeks for 2 or 3 weeks. With DS I felt nauseous on and off all day but it never got bad enough that I ever actually got sick. With my third pregnancy I’ve maybe had a couple of waves of nausea early on, but basically haven’t felt sick at all!

I was nauseous all day every day from 6 weeks to about 14 weeks, but only actually sick maybe every 2-3 days. Then it completely went away, then came back stronger at 28 weeks, I was violently sick every morning for 2 weeks. Not being sick at the moment (32 weeks) but still very nauseous so I'm not convinced it's stopped yet!

Mine was like a terrible hangover that lasted from 7 weeks pregnant to 16 weeks pregnant. Very queasy all day, retching if I smelt something such as coffee, retching when cleaning teeth. Actually vomiting weekly.

I think morning sickness is different for everyone. The first time I experienced I was totally overcome with nausea - I'd obviously been sick before but had never experienced nausea as bad as morning sickness. All through my pregnancy I was sick, always had to carry a bag. So glad when it was over!!

Like being permanently hungover - alternately nauseous and ravenous, whilst feeling as though I'd been runover by a truck. Retching at certain smells etc. But only for the first 12 weeks.

Mine felt like a lot of people on here - like being permanently hungover/travelsick. Never reached the point of retching or actually vomited but it was still really miserable, the only thing that helped was eating constantly. Fortunately I only had it from 6-12 weeks or I would have doubled in size by the end of it...

HG from weeks 5 till around 20, constant feeling of nausea from the second I got up till the second I went to bed. Sick multiple times a day every day without fail, had to be signed off from work, on anti-sickness medication, without a doubt the worst experience of my entire life! Genuinely days where I didn't think I could get through it. I have never felt sickness like it. It was like flu, I was stuck to the sofa and could not get up as didn't have an ounce of energy and if I did get up I would be sick anyway. I remember crying a few times but crying also made me be sick so I couldn't even feel properly sorry for myself by having a good cry!

I feel so unbelievably sorry for everyone who has suffered with it the whole pregnancy, you are absolutely incredible. I didn't think mine would ever pass, but slowly but surely it did and honestly the rest of my pregnancy has felt like a breeze in comparison. I will take the hip pain, back pain, and tiredness every day of the week rather than go through that again!

Mine came in sudden waves most days. Probably 3-4 times a day I'd get really nauseous for about 15-20 minutes each time then it would fade off. It was the worst if I didn't eat enough, so little meals and snacks throughout the day kept it down. There were a few random days where for some reason it was just constant the entire day and I'd barely be able to eat (got that on Christmas when my family still didn't know, fun day lol) but only a few. It kept pretty steadily like that from about 6-10 weeks
