I found mint imperials or mint humbugs really helped me just to calm the sickness and after taste. Also and I know it's different for everyone. I found a mug of hot ribena in the afternoon worked well and brought me back some energy

If it feels like you can't manage then you should go to the Dr. People don't realise but there are things that can be done and you don't have to suffer/dehydrate. I've survived severe morning sickness three of my four pregnancies. Seek help if you need it!

Otherwise, eat little and often and wait for it to pass!

For me it was ginger biscuits or dry toast but it's very much individual
Don't suffer.

I had hyperemesis so maybe a bit intense but pick and choose according to how bad you feel.

-Suck ice
-sip ginger beer (flat and cold)
-don’t eat 2 hours before bed
-sleep propped up at about 45 degrees if you can
-eat whatever you crave but in very VERY small amounts. Do not binge!
-never let your stomach be totally empty, snack on plain light things, rice cakes, bread...etc
-Omeprazole and rennie/gaviscon
-Whilst you’re at the GP (getting Omeprazole) get a good antiemetic and stash it incase you need it suddenly. Ondansetron worked best for me but there are lots.
-Keep hydrated with small sips
-keep a roll of plastic waste paper sized bin bags in your bag when you go out.
-wear sunglasses (light made me feel sicker)
-know when it’s no longer ‘just morning sickness’ if you’re sick more than 3 times a day, become unable to go about your daily life, or it continues past 12 weeks then please seek help.
-watch out for your vitamins, many pregnancy vitamins make nausea worse.

IRL it boggles my mind how many women I know who have eaten big curries, greasy, fried food whilst suffering ‘morning sickness’ and then complain how sick they were. Constant small plain snacks is the way forward!

How far are you?
Please don't suffer, i didn't have the sickness it was more severe nausea for me, but for nearly a good 2weeks i barely ate or drank.
Dry toast, sipping on flat lucozade to keep your electrolytes up, mints i agree helped too, disgestives/rich tea (try these before getting out of bed) lemon water sometimes helped me & when i did want food it was always something carby like mash or chips bland i know but i ate whatever cropped in my mind my body wanted there and then.

Once i felt like i tried all options i went to see my GP & was prescribed Cyclizine, it was an absolute god send & my appetite soon came back as i was worried baby was not getting the nutrition she needed. Luckily it stopped once i got to 11weeks.

I found bland foods made me worse bread sticks and crackers etc were awful. Salt and vinegar rice crackers were ok and once it eased a bit the pea & protein rice crackers I. Sainsbury's
Anything with ginger in made me sick and I developed an aversion to the taste of water. I could manage boiled water with a bit of honey in it or lemonade.
Fruit was good I ate a lot of melon, pineapple, oranges, tinned peaches and apricots but banana and apple were on the no list. Sometimes I could manage a bit of yoghurt with the fruit.
Thankfully my sickness eased off around 5pm so I could usually manage my evening meal, again bland meals made me nauseous but fresh flavoured food were ok.
On my worst days the only thing that would help was lying very still.

I agree with speaking to your doctor if you are struggling, I got some antinausea pills and it allowed me to eat a little bit more and stop losing weight

Thank you all for your advice.
I was sick for 20 weeks with my son 3 years ago and eventually towards the end admitted defeat and had ondansetron.
This time seems more violent and with lockdown I think I’m aware of it more, despite the distraction of a 3 year old. I’m 14 weeks now and still suffering, but it’s really up and down now whereas 3 weeks ago I couldn’t even get out of bed because standing up made me vomit, I was being sick 20+ times a day and even stopping to be sick mid eating, luckily my parents moved in with us just before lockdown so I have help with my toddler - my wife is an ITU doctor so has had to move out of our home since the start of Covid!
It seems to be bad in the morning, then mid morning it gets better, I’m ill before lunch and all afternoon (after lunch) and then ok about 3-4 and bad again when I get hungry before dinner and poorly all evening.

Im wondering if dairy is turning my stomach

No real advice except just have what you can manage when you fancy it....don't be too hard on yourself about eating healthy meals 3 times a day etc. Take vitamins if you're really worried about it.
I survived almost entirely on salt and vinegar crisps and fizzy sweets in the first trimester then slowly managed to introduce little bits of fruit. I felt so bad about not eating healthily but I couldn't keep anything else down.
The doctor said anything was better than nothing and not to overthink it....the only thing she did say was make sure to keep drinking as much water/juice as possible as the main concern is dehydration.

Hope you feel better soon.
