Tutti Bambini CoZee Bedside Crib vs Snuzpod 3

So I thought I had decided on the Snuzpod 3 but now I've seen the Tutti Bambini CoZee and I can't decide. Both have great reviews...

Would love to hear people's comments on either.

Thank you! 😊

Following as we've been considering both.

I think I'm leaning towards the Tutti Bambini because it collapses flat for travel (and it comes in midnight blue, which is our fave colour Grin ).

I don't have a bad word to say about the snuzpod.

Wowthisisreal · 19/05/2020 19:15

SnuzPod! Love love love mine and so sad my LB has grown out of his. Can't wait to (hopefully!) use it again in future

charlottees89 · 19/05/2020 19:33

@Williams3001 I think I'm leaning towards the Tutti now too. I think it offers everything the Snuz does but like you said it will fold up to travel.

Plus I personally think it looks a bit nice.. not as chunky.

I have the Tutti, goes up and down in seconds and fits in really well with our decor - like a piece of furniture. It’s really sturdy too so I’m sure will last any future DC!

NameChange30 · 19/05/2020 19:58

I have the Snuzpod 2 and if I was buying again I'd get the Cozee. (It wasn't yet on sale when I was buying!) The Snuzpod is great but it's heavy so we didn't move it around the house and obviously couldn't take it with us for overnight trips. I really like the fact that the Cozee is portable. We would definitely have used it for trips and it would have been great to have DS in his usual crib instead of a travel cot. (He was a big heavy baby so it was tricky to lift him in and out of a standard travel cot!)

NameChange30 · 19/05/2020 20:00

PS We have kept our Snuzpod for DC2 so I can't really justify buying the Cozee now, sadly!

Oatmilk1 · 19/05/2020 20:07

When folded for travel, how large is it? Is it reasonable to take on a plane/holiday or too big/awkward for that?

April1990 · 19/05/2020 20:12

Following!

NameChange30 · 19/05/2020 20:13

Disclaimer: i don't have a Cozee, so this is just a general comment. But I guess it depends how keen you are on travelling light. We found that for plane journeys, by the time we'd taken a car seat, pushchair, and massive suitcase mostly full of baby's stuff, we couldn't be bothered to take a travel cot as well! (Even if it is a compact one.) But I imagine if you were travelling by car and had a decent size boot you could easily chuck it in.

suziedoozy · 19/05/2020 20:13

I have the tutti and loved it until DD moved into her own room - as others said it was easy to put up and down, I liked how easy it was to change the angles to help her sleep. I was really pleased with it.

suziedoozy · 19/05/2020 20:14

Forgot to say it got chucked in the car for various family visits and it doesn’t take up much room at all.

Williams3001 · 19/05/2020 20:16

@Oatmilk1 it’s the same dimensions as standing but just flat (92 x 56 x 12cm), so would have to go as hold luggage on a plane. You’d probably be best buying a travelcot designed to take on plane journeys.

We’re planning at least three overnight trips with baby in the first six months (Christmas with both families and a belated babymoon in the UK), so being able to take his proper cot would be ideal.

transformandriseup · 19/05/2020 20:29

We had the tutti and it was sturdy but heavy as a result. As well as being able to raise one end which was a great feature the frame was tilted slightly towards the bedside (presumably for breastfeeding) and meant my baby would end up rolling onto her side. Because of this we never used it with the mesh side up and left it open when she was in it although she was never unattended during this time..

gingersnaps14 · 19/05/2020 20:36

We had both bought for us by different sets of grandparents and whilst both were great I rate the Cozee slightly higher in terms of convenience.
DD slept in the Snuzpod overnight in our room and was sleeping through the night from 10 weeks old so must have been pretty comfy!
We kept the Cozee downstairs for day naps and used for a couple of overnight stays with relatives. It is so convenient to fold down and takes up very little space in the car, plus it feels slightly roomier and the mattress is a bit softer and comfier.

Twitchett22 · 19/05/2020 20:40

We had the tutti and we were so pleased with it! It tilts which helped our DD with reflux and she fit in it easily until she went into her own cot in her own room at 6 months (and she was a big/long baby). We did use it as a travel cot, only to stay at my mums though but was very handy to be able to fold and take!

Russianslice · 19/05/2020 20:49

I loved our Tutti, we visitEd relatives a lot and it’s so easy to put up and pack away. Baby always slept well in it x

memberof5 · 19/05/2020 23:15

I ve just bought the cozee air. It's a bit bigger than the snuz and I think more attractive. I'm really pleased with it. I haven't got a baby to put in it yet but it was very easy to assemble. We also got a Moses basket to keep downstairs.

BelfastNonBlonde · 20/05/2020 06:57

We got the snuzpod primarily due to size. It was the only Bedside crib /cosleeper that would fit In small space beside our bed whilst still being high enough for our high mattress.

It’s also handy in that the top
Can be take off and say used downstairs during day, but equally, transforming into a travel cot would’ve been handy (provided the tutti is actually light and easily transportable..)

LexiM · 06/06/2020 23:45

Did anyone with the Tutti get it second hand? Where did you get a new mattress from? Thanks

New2020 · 07/06/2020 04:16

We went with the snuzpod 3 in the end as the top comes off which we can use around the house..still to check how heavy it actually is but apparently the newest version is made to be a bit lighter

We also have 2 hand me down travel cots so didn't need this feature

Whiffle77 · 07/06/2020 08:21

I have just looked at both of these, and the snuzpod 3 the bassinet lifts off and you can use around the house so you could take downstairs and not need a separate moses basket - does the tutti do that?
Also it looks like for both you can use as a standalone crib or for co-sleeping (I.e. side up or side down), is that right?
Thanks for the thread OP, I am just starting a mega list for when I get further along Smile

Whiffle77 · 07/06/2020 08:41

Also, if the side is up but its next to your bed - does that still count as co-sleeping?

LexiM · 07/06/2020 09:30

@whiffle77 - no the top doesn’t come off the Tutti, it’s collapsable but personally I wouldn’t move either around the house as it’s quite heavy.

Yes you can put the side down on both. I don’t count it as co-sleeping as the baby is within its own space in the crib, just the side connected with yours. I would guess you still need to consider duvets near the crib but there isn’t the risk of rolling onto baby.

Whiffle77 · 07/06/2020 10:51

Thanks @LexiM
That's what I thought about co-sleeping too, but googling suggests most next to me are classed as co-sleeping - I wasnt sure if that was just when the side was down as well.
I dont want to co-sleep, for a few reasons but also as I know I will want the odd glass of wine and I dont want to raise the risk of SIDS as alcohol and co-sleeping are a big no no. The next to mes look great but now I'm worried about increasing the risk!
Possibly overthinking it though (as with most things...)
