I'm 39 weeks I had a Chinese last night. You'll be fine 😃

NishaaS123 · 17/05/2020 03:58

@shittingmysel Haha thank you I think its just my anxiety creeping up on me :( hope you enjoyed it lol

I didn't lol. But my taste in food has been hindered with sickness the whole time - it was a win because it stayed down. Pregnancy makes me very anxious in the middle of the night when there's no one to talk me down.
I just want cheesecake now 🤣

HannaH021 · 17/05/2020 04:02

A cheesecake for takeaway? Get that from the supermarket, its packed, by the time it gets to you, its fine to eat.
only order hot food u can heat up in the microwave for 2minutes

NishaaS123 · 17/05/2020 04:08

@shittingmysel haha same just freaking out for reason but it's just the scary times nowdays you just don't know with anything and I just feel bad that I shouldnt have eaten it was in the fridge for 9 hours before I ate it aswell lol but could have just stopped myself from worrying

I'm having a take away every week lol....all different kinds from all different places!
We just do contactless, remove from packaging, throw containers out straight away and wash hands before we eat.
It's no different to going to the supermarket and picking something up which someone has touched before you and put back or touching a doir handle that someone just touched before you or getting a letter or online delivery....

NishaaS123 · 17/05/2020 10:29

@sel2223 makes me feel better thank you I think it's just my anxiety taking over for no reason Blush it should all be good lol

Yep, we’re being careful (all the precautionary measures @sel2223 mentions above) but still having our fortnightly takeaway. I’m missing booze, dinners out, socialising with friends, seeing my family, work, even going to the supermarket as DH is now doing it! My fortnightly takeaway is my treat and I’m comfortable that with good hygiene the risk is absolutely minimal.

NishaaS123 · 17/05/2020 10:53

@dollywilde you are right I am just panicking for no reason the place I ordered from have a great hygiene rating and my husband collected it so he said he didnt touch the cake or anything and we threw the packaging away after bringing it home and exactly that's the only thing you look forward to nowdays lol

Got to get treats where you can right now Grin

PotteringAlong · 17/05/2020 11:06

You are being ridiculous. Do you really think a virus will hide in your cheesecake, burrow through your body and harm your unborn baby? Because if you really do think that you need to speak to your midwife about your mental health ASAP.

PotteringAlong · 17/05/2020 11:09

I assume you eat food from a supermarket. That will also have packaging that has been handled a lot more than a takeaway.

lockdownpregnancy · 17/05/2020 11:15

@PotteringAlong that was a bit harsh!
You can't tell me you haven't had any irrational thoughts during pregnancy, cus of our crazy hormones! I know I have!
OP, I have a take away nearly every week! In times like these, take the little treats where you can!
And personally I wouldn't order 'a slice' I'd go to the supermarket and buy (and eat) a whole one!
Enjoy it, as there isn't much else we can do at the moment except eat! 😝

LH1987 · 17/05/2020 11:17

Im having a takeaway every week. I am very jealous you had a cheesecake delivered, I bet it was delicious!

I cant see how there is any greater risk getting a takeaway as opposed to buying it in a grocery store. Enjoy it Grin

Dollywilde · 17/05/2020 11:30

I suppose logically when we’ve got all this time on our hands, making our own cheesecakes should be a better approach as it’s time consuming but frankly life is short and I’m restarting slimming world after this baby arrives, so Wink Grin

NishaaS123 · 17/05/2020 12:17

@PotteringAlong I do suffer from anxiety so having thoughts like these are I am sure not new specially if you already suffer from anxiety plus the things going on around nowdays
@lockdownpregnancy thank you for that! And should have had the whole lot lol I will try making making it at home now and see how that goes but I was just so badly craving it yesterday I just couldn't wait lol
@LH1987 haha I am glad I am not the only one I am just being stupid thinking about that but I guess it's just the anxiety lol
@dollywilde haha yeah will definitely try making it at home but the craving was too much yesterday had to have it right away lol
