No appetite

I'm 6+3 weeks pregnant and I feel flat. I don't feel tired or majorly nauseous. I have no appetite (I feel full all the time), no interest in doing anything, and no energy. I could go for a run but the thought of doing it just ugh. Has anyone else had this?

Hi I am 6+5 and have the same with the no appetite but I think that’s because I feel nauseous on and off And when I think about food it makes it worse.

Sounds exactly like me - hang in there, it will improve again! I lost weight, never nauseous at all but just couldn't face eating and no food appealed to me. Try smaller meals and regular snacks, I found boring bland food easiest like toast, crisps, jacket potatoes. I'm 14 weeks now and it has definitely slowly started to improve over the past week and I'm managing to eat more again.

@bluebell94 thank you, I just keep thinking if I don’t eat enough will it harm the baby?

Also I am getting tummy ache like I would if you need the toilet and wondered if that is all normal with feeling sick? Sorry this is my first pregnancy and not sharing with friends or family until the 12 week mark x

Try to drink fluids if you can it really easy to get dehydrated on early pregnancy and not realise. If you do get dehydrated you will feel terrible and so tired

Juice, fruit tea, water - try to keep a bottle on the go x

@MayBug2020 someone described it to me as the baby is like a leech at the minute - they're sucking all of your energy and they're getting what they need, even if you're not! You can take a pregnancy multivitamin if you were worried about baby but this early on is still getting its nourishment from the yolk sack so try not to worry. It all sounds normal but you can speak to your midwife if you're worried. It's a nerve wracking time but it will get better! X

@bluebell94 thank you. I have my first midwife appointment on Monday, well it’s a call which I guess is due to the current situation and then been told I will than have bloods etc. Any advice on what I should ask or check during this first appointment? Xx

@maybug2020 Yeah, I do worry the same thing. I'm taking a pregnancy supplement so I hope my baby is getting all the nutrients it needs.

@burdog what supplement are you taking? I am taking vitamin d3, folic acid and omega 3 x

Just keep up with your prenatals. Your appetite might return in your second trimester. That's what happened to me. I couldn't bear the thought of eating anything in my first trimester.
