Pale pink mucus & clot - is it serious?

Hello, I haven't used MN before and I'm hoping someone might be able to offer reassurance .. I'm 9/10 weeks pregnant and noticed some pale pink mucus in my knickers this afternoon. I thought it must be fine and read it's normal in early pregnancy. A few hours later I noticed it again, however then I noticed what looked like a tiny clot of mucus. I emailed my Gynaecologist however I didn't hear back. Any advice would be gratefully received ! :)

If it's not blood, heavy bleeding or blood clots, it could just be a bit of implantation bleeding mixed with your cervical mucus. It's quite common, but you've done the right thing by checking in with your doctor, just to be sure.
If you're not in any pain as well, that is always a good sign!
Hope you're ok

Thank you for your message! This sounds reassuring. We did think it could be a clot but it was so small. It was pale red though..and I didn't have this in my first pregnancy. I didn't hear back from the gynae so hopefully I won't pass anything else tonight. I haven't had any more mucus since. As a new user I can't seem to upload an image Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I am also new to Mumsnet (in fact have just signed up to reply to this)
I'm in a really similar position - tested positive on Monday and have been absolutely over the moon all week, but then this morning had pink discharge on the tissue when I wiped, and then noticed a lump or clot of some sort in the toilet when I had a later wee.
Assuming a MC at this point but I suppose desperately looking for alternative reasons so interested to follow your post!
Loads of luck to you x
