So I’ve been 2cms dilated for 3 days and nothing seems to be speeding up contractions have stopped I’m not getting any pains but I do get tightenings now and again but they don’t hurt...

Do you girls think the hospital will do anything to speed it up I’m 37 weeks and 3 days?

I'm only 20 weeks, but my cousin has just had her baby girl. She was in labour from Monday to Thursday.
She sat at 2cm dilated from Monday to Wednesday and the hospital just sent her home to two times she went in.
She finally went in early hours of Thursday morning, as her contractions were getting really close together. She was 8cm by that point and that's when they took her in.
Her poor OP had to wait in the car though until she got taken down to the delivery suite!
Hope everything goes well for you! 🥰🥰🥰

I could be wrong but until your waters have broken (if they do go early on) there's no "clock ticking" as it were unless there's anything else of concern with either you or baby. I don't think they would admit you to the hospital until you're in "established" labour which tends to be at about 5cm because otherwise it could be weeks yet before baby makes an appearance and even if they did have enough beds, would you really want to be in hospital waiting for something to happen? I'd just get on with normal life as best you can until you progress further, which I realise is hard. Presumably you know you're 2cm because you've been checked? What guidance did they give you then?

A lot of my NCT friends had a really long initial stage of labour, my entire labour was only a few hours though so don't have any personal experience.
