3rd trimester movements question

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone is well. First timer 35+4 weeks here and baby has dropped into my pelvis and bump is lower. Midwife said he is head down.

So I feel like the movements have changed a lot now. He squirms a bit and I can feel movement but nothing like the frequency or intensity of before. I know you are meant to check in with reduced movements but obviously want to avoid hospitals and panicking.

If I can feel some kind of movement every day, even if it’s less strong, that means everything is ok right? I feel wiggles every few hours, it’s never completely quiet in there. Any reassurance or advice is much appreciated.

Thanks
J

Please ring anyway, it really is better to be safe than sorry
I saw my midwife yesterday and they couldn't stress enough the importance of letting them know if there's a change

The fact there is still movements is reassuring and less of a worry, but it's still a change, so they might just ask you to track closely for a few more days

Agree, ring to be checked out.
In my first pregnancy, ds movements were always questionable, he would be super active for a day or 2 then to quiet for a day or 2.i was always getting checked out.

At 39 weeks, he went quiet again and nothibg worked to perk him up, so went in to get checked, had a scan, he stopped growing at 37 weeks, was induced, his cord was really kinked when he came out, so reckon it had been kinking /unkinking all the pregnancy.
I can't imagine what might have happened if I hadn't gone in, and gone overdue!

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow my baby is head down and my movement is different less hard kicks but lots of wiggles and moving to the side, but I would say if your concerned ring your hospital
