Elcs experiences during covid

Hi 2nd baby first was emcs after undiagnosed breech and 40hrs of Labour. This baby is breech too was told I could have an ecv but due to previous section was told just before procedure that I couldn't. I'm really sad about it to be honest as I'd love a vbac.

Anyone could people please give me some stories of their elcs recently please? Just want to get my head round the restrictions, the procedure and how quickly I can get home. I recovered amazingly well and quickly last time.

From what I was reading, ELCS scores really high among those who had it and most spend 1 to 2 nights in the hospital. I only had EMCS but this time round I am all for planned section.

I'm having a planned section tomorrow. Been told I should be out after 24 hours or can stay another night if I want to.

Thanks so much for your experiences. I'm struggling a bit as I really wanted to try for a vbac still trying to come to terms with the elcs atm

In my area, the birthing partner can only be with the mum during the c-section and afterwards in the recovery room. As soon as moved from recovery to ward they have to leave and then come back to collect the mum and baby on discharge - staying outside whilst the mum (and hopefully a helpful MW) carry everything from the ward.

One of my main issues was the post natal care. I had a really awful time on the ward. I'd love to ask for a private room and happy to pay but not sure how likely that'll be. I'm hoping I'll be out within 24hrs but not sure how likely that'll be
