Bfp while on the pill?

Hiya,

I have been feeling not quite right over the last week or so and assumed I was coming down with something. Took a couple of One Step internet cheapie just in case and I think I can see faint second lines. If they are bfps I have no idea how this happened as I'm on the combined pill and take it at the same time every day.

I took another test late afternoon and it came back negative. Could these 2 tests be false positives? Has anyone else had an experience like this? Going to test again in the morning.

Thanks 😊

Morning wee is the best to test for as the HCG is more concentrated from not seeing in the night.

It's definitely possible! My midwife said she's seen loads of people who have got pregnant whilst on the pill!

*not weeing in the night that should say!

I was on the pill, also had been told I was unable to have children naturally / very low chance. Came back from a long haul trip, and didn’t feel right, put it down to jet lag, and a week of no sleep. I’m now 17 weeks pregnant. Would test again to be sure in the morning, or get a clear blue digital test. Good luck

I was on the pill, taken correctly, no problems. For ten years. Had cheapy tests - positive. Another - negative. Tesco and clearblue - positive.
Went by this and referred to midwives to check for my booking appt and then scan. Was 17 weeks 😂

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. I tested today with FMU and both tests look negative so now I'm really confused 😔. Any ideas?

@DressingGown87 @Amanduh congrats to you both! 😊.

Did you stop the pill when you found out you were pregnant and if so did you have any bleeding from stopping the pill?

All my tests have been negative since but I've been advised to stop the pill for now. It's an emotional rollercoaster and I'm assuming I'm not pregnant now but really confused by those tests because they look like bfps and they are stronger than the lines I had with my first baby 😪x

I was on my pill break when I got home, and when I didn’t come on, I didn’t take it again, then my pregnancy was confirmed. I had a bit of spotting one evening, so thought it was my AF starting. So delayed contacting my GP, just thought the trip had messed my cycles up.

Have you contacted your GP and they could possibly do a blood test? Bet it’s so confusing for you. X

I was on the pill with my first (levest); I had a little bleed which was probably implantation bleeding at that time. I always take the pill around 8am every day so I thought nothing of it at first. I kept thinking it was false positives (even after 7 faint lines and a digital test).. anyways, needless to say I have a 5 year old now who I could not imagine life without xx

I got pregnant on the deli injection and pill 😱 it does happen. Lovely surprise although we did have to postpone our wedding 😂

I would try to get a digital test and take it tomorrow/Sat morning; a first response-type one would be most sensitive.

Thanks everyone for the replies. This is day 3 off the pill and I'm now having cramping and light spotting so guessing this is a withdrawal bleed as normal. I was told to stop the pill packet and miss the last 4 days.

Tests are still negative so assuming that those 2 positives were faulty tests. So strange! 😪x
