Could someone pleaaaaaseee shed some light on why pregnancy can make you itch?

I've had itchy legs/tops of feet on and off for a couple of weeks, now since last night they have itched constantly! Does anyone know why pregnancy can make you itch?!😩

He was fine - weighed 8lbs 1oz so I was glad he didn’t cook any longer frankly!

I had this in both my pregnancies, it was horrendous! Just my legs, nothing else. Def mention it to midwife just in case. The only thing that eased mine was the Body Shop body butters, every other type of cream or lotion made it worse. I had to get a steroid cream eventually from the GP.

I called my doctors, impatience at its finest🤣 and the receptionist said the blood results are back and read me the different types and said they are normal, but the bile acid levels is apparently still with the gp so she couldn't tell me what that was. Feeling a little reassured that she's said everything else is normal though x

Well, that's good. But I suspect if the results have gone to the GP when everything else is normal it might well be that they're a bit elevated. But in that case, your GP will be on the phone shortly I'm sure to discuss. good luck.

@BlingLoving I did think that, but then I thought maybe that result had come back after the others and she hadn't had time to look at it lol. Probably wishful thinking but we'll wait and see 😊
