Hi, I'm exactly 33 weeks today but have a history of premature labour. I've not felt 'right' for the last couple of days but have put it down to starting urso for obstetric cholestasis. Couldn't sleep at all last night just had loads of Braxton hicks and felt uncomfortable/unsettled. Woke up this morning and just feel exhausted but have a really uneasy feeling like something is going to happen. I'm having a few Braxton hicks again but baby is moving as normal and I'm not in agony.

Is there such a thing as just knowing? Don't really want to phone from a gut feeling especially with covid going on x

Hi @RaindropDreams, no personal experience of this but I don't think you should feel badly for making a quick phone call to speak to a professional about this. I think they would prefer to hear from you even if it not you going into labour right now.

Hope you feel better soon and get some sleep tonight!

When I was 36 weeks pregnant I felt strongly baby was coming . It was my first baby and everyone in my family went well past their due dates .

It wasn’t just a gut feeling and definitely not wishful thinking . I felt immense pressure on my vagina , diarrhoea, Braxton hicks and my lower back was killing me .

When I told my family I thought baby was coming any day and I was hoping to make it to 37 weeks ( full term ) I was laughed at . It really hurt my feeling especially as I was so stressed about it .

Anyway a few days later my waters broke and I had baby at 37+1. Sometimes you just know .

39 weeks here, would give anything to have diarrhoea. Nothing is right in that region. Bring on the labour 😖😫😫😫

OP, call them. All your antenatal care should be as normal. My GP won't see me for anything, and I desperately needed anti nausea meds as even in late pregnancy I can still hardly eat.

Saw the day assessment unit, it was empty and I got seen straight away, prescription written and am now eating.

Please don't feel like you're a bother, you have two lives to think about.

I called them but they said it's definitely just Braxton hicks as they aren't getting stronger they are strong but staying the same. Just gone to get in the shower though and as I bent to take my pj bottoms off I felt the baby drop to the point it knocked me sick. Going to give them another call but if I'm not having contractions I doubt they will see me

Would they not see you to check baby and examine your cervix if you're truly worried? If it were me, I would just them fetal movements have reduced as well. That might get you what you want. Its a bit silly they won't put your mind at ease given your history.

RaindropDreams · 13/05/2020 07:35

No I spoke to them yesterday and they said the same thing again. They would check me over if I started contracting properly etc. I know something is happening, I can just feel it. I had a scan yesterday and he couldn't even measure the head because it was too low down so now I'm worried that they won't know if he's growing because they need the head measurement to calculate that! I'm back on Thursday for more bloods so will speak to someone again. They are inducing me by 36-37 weeks anyway but the longer he's in there the better for him.
