Hi all

First time mum needing advice/reassurance here 👋

I'm currently 27 weeks and I am wondering if these aches and pains I'm feeling is normal.

I've pretty much got constant aches in my hips and ribs but also there's lots of muscular pains around my stomach (at the top of bump) it's exaggerated when I sneeze or move for lying down to sitting up etc.

My stomach feels so hard and tight the only comfortable position for me is stood up!

This may well all be normal. I just wanted to double check ☺️

Thanks in advance

I'm 30 weeks atm with my second and i can confirm this is normal. And horrible. You never hear many talk about the downsides to pregnancy and i had actually forgotten before I got pregnant again. My recommendations are a heating pad, lots of pillow supports and having a good stretch and walk every now and then. But in complete honestly even with all that It takes me a painkiller at the end of the day just to feel human again.

I'm 28 weeks. First baby to.
I can get the most horrendous upper rib pain and it's very much related to my posture and baby's position at that time. Like I can't slouch forward at a desk or lean forward eating for long.
Also had hip pain over the last week which was a trapped nerve or pulled muscle where something must of moved in pelvis.
You got to keep reminding yourself your body is growing a baby and it's going to ache at some points as you don't normally carry a head of lettuce around in there 🙈
I have good and bad weeks. But I think what your experiencing is normal as Iv ran all this through with my midwife as I'm a real worrier.
Hope you feel less achey soon x
