I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have just got a mild electric shock changing the light bulb in the fridge, I'm paranoid the baby hasn't moved since I did this - I won't have harmed him or her will I?

I am sure it's fine, never heard of it damaging a baby. Check with your midwife just in case?

OK - disclaimer - I am not actually a medical professional and what follows is anecdote.

I touched an electric fence when I was 20 weeks pregnant with DD and got a fairly large jolting shock - I bet you it was bigger than a lightbulb one.

DD will be 4 next week and is absolutely fine. Rather entertainingly she has extremely curly hair which no one else in the family has at all...

Also not a medical professional. My sis-in-law got a full on thrown-to-the-floor shock with hand-burn at 20ish weeks and was told as long as the baby (and mother) were fine immediately afterwards, there should be no long term problems.
They were both checked out afterwards because of the seriousness of the shock and both she and her ds, now 1, were absolutely fine.
If you're worried, obviously it's worth getting checked out though.
