I have pretty much bought everything now... but it’s all in the loft/in bags/stashed.

What week did you wash everything, fill the drawers with nappies, set up changing basket for downstairs and set up side by side crib etc? Also packing hospital bag and changing bag...

Don’t want to do it too early... or too late!! Xx

I personally put it all out as I buy it but will wash clothes probably 34 weeks ish.

Just started doing it at 34 weeks and spreading it over the next couple of weekends. Didn’t want bulky things like a changing table, Moses basket, cot etc. taking up space unused.

I washed everything and had my hospital bag ready by 34 weeks .

I didn’t have anything else set up until after baby arrived though . We set up our snuzpod when I was in labour lol.

I washed the clothes at about 35 weeks. The moses basket went up when the baby came home. My hospital bag was ready at about 36/37 weeks.

I'm 35 weeks with my second baby. Packed hospital bag yesterday, everything washed and aired a couple of weeks ago and now hung up. Nursery painted a couple of months ago, furniture already up. Haven't put sheets on cot or bedside crib yet as will do those last thing as don't want them to get dusty. Nappies etc bought at beginning of lockdown before everything ran out.

About 37 weeks - cot & buggy put together then, clothes washed, hospital bag finished the day before I went into labour. That maybe was cutting it too fine!

I’ve been super bored In lockdown so all my clothes from 0-3 and newborn are washed, dried, ironed and folded in an air tight box. All my hospital bags are ready to go and I’m 25 weeks lol

I got far too excited and I think I washed all the clothes at about 30 weeks. Probably shortly after I built the furniture (I love putting together furniture).

Pram was put together the day after we got it to test if it did indeed fit in our boot. We bought it at the baby show, so didn't get the opportunity to check beforehand. So about... 24 weeks.

Moses basket was set up once we got home from the hospital. Sheets were already washed ahead of time, but we didn't bother having the basket ready until it was needed. It was just a fold up stand and basket, so no DIY required to put it together though.

Changing basket for downstairs I didn't do until a week or so after birth. Baby being PFB and all I was quite happy carting her upstairs for the first few days to change her while we waited for Amazon to deliver their magic.

Changing bag. I didn't bother putting one together until the night before I had to go somewhere. Until then we were at hospital or at home.

I never got the opportunity to put together my hospital bag. Fortunately it was all planned out and all the necessary bits purchased ready for me to just put it together at 37 weeks. Instead I was admitted to hospital at 36 weeks and DH had to put it together for me. Only took him a few attempts to get it right.... My stance now is that if I fall pregnant again, I'm getting a bag ready once I've had the anomaly scan. I'm never getting caught out like that again.

I've got things stored from dd in boxes and went through recently just to make a list of what is missing and to get an idea of budgeting and research to do but I won't probably wash until between 20-30 weeks, I like to do my hospital bag ready at 30 weeks just incase but I was so sick the whole way through with her that I just wanted it done
This time it'll be about 30-35 weeks purely as our room is smaller in our new house and with dd I don't want to have clutter out
I don't think there is a too early per se, once our of the first 12 weeks I guess but I wouldn't want something to happen suddenly and not have prepared

I'm 36 weeks and I've been getting everything washed over the last couple of weeks. I held out as long as I could but I was too excited!!
We have the cot and Moses basket up already but that's only so we can train the cat to stay away from them, she thinks everything comfy is her bed so needs to get used to not going on them!

PrinnyPree · 05/05/2020 11:54

37+3 with my first and only just started at the weekend, I think I'm so knackered from work I haven't got round to it (working from home but still feels like a slog) my last day's on Thursday so reckon I'll get my shiz together properly after that. But I think the baby's bag is preeeetty much done. Also washed the covers and fitted the baby car seat. Still need to set up the snuzpod next to my bed but I think the cat will think its for her lol.

Need to pack my bag properly, I had an over the shoulder bag but since I'm looking at bringing towels, and a robe etc I don't think its going to be big enough and may need to upgrade to my wheelie hard case cabin bag. I still need to buy nursing bras... Blush
