Hey guys! When is everyone planning on starting their maternity leave? My baby is due end of July. With everything that is going on now I'm starting to get sick of work, so lonely and bored at home alone. Thinking of starting earlier... what are you thinking?

My due date is 3rd July and I’m going 1st June at 36 weeks. I work in a clinical role for the nhs so have been at home for a while now. However, my job is full time and despite not seeing people face to face, I’m doing the same (if not more) amount of work in the form of telephone consultations. I’m shattered and on count down to just sitting at home doing nothing. I’m not bored at all 😂 I’ll read my books, sleep and take care of myself 😊 x

My EDD is 26th July but i've been advised that i will either be induced or c-section no later than 38 weeks (twins) - so i am working on an assumption that babies will arrive w/c 5th July at the latest.

So i'm starting 2 weeks annual leave from the 19th June, then mat leave from 5th July - assuming they don't decide to make an earlier appearance of their own accord. i hope they don't - i am nowhere near done with my handover at work - trying to hand over my role across 3-4 different people, one of whom is a brand new junior assistant that i'm still training, remotely, is really hard!

i've been working from home full time since mid-march which has been a godsend because i am knackered and in pain and the commute would have already done me in i think - i would really have struggled if i was in a more physically demanding job.

As soon as bloody possible! However I stashed my annual leave last time so I was able to start mat leave on my due date, but finish 5 weeks before hand by using annual leave. I plan to do similar this time.
