Only had bad thrush once in my teens from taking strong antibiotics. I started getting quite itchy downstairs. I started using daily panty liners I dont know if they have just irritated me. Shall I contact midwife to get something for it? Or go to a chemist?

The chemist may not sell it to you if they know you're pregnant. Our chemist built into the surgery don't. The midwives do try and come down to "vouch" for you and say it's fine. You're probably best off contacting the midwife for their advice first to save the bother.

I got thrush all the time when I was expecting my 3 DC ,I'd speak to the midwife but I was also told to wash underwear on highest wash and iron the gusset of my knickers and just wear cotton ones

I thought I had thrush (dunno now) so text my mw and she got me a prescription. I was feeling better by the time I got it though!

GP might be happy to prescribe after a telephone consultation.

I had thrush last month when I was 30 weeks. I called the doctor, had a telephone consultation and she sent a prescription for cream and pessaries straight to the pharmacy for me.
