Just wondered if anyone else has had this? I'm 35 weeks and have had a couple of growth scans and it's been picked up on there. It's only mild and baby is measuring big (97th centile). I know growth scans can be inaccurate but I also feel so much bigger this time than my other two. My bump feels so tight and uncomfortable, and worried for the next 5 weeks how much bigger I'll get!

Hey, i had this in all three of pregnancies and have been told this time i will be sent for extra scans later on to check. My first two labours were normal, except for a tidal wave when my waters went. My last was induced at 5 days overdue, as he was a big baby and they didnt want to let me go too far over. Again, tidal wave of waters, but quick labour. Was totally spaced out so i dont remember much of it. So in my experience its not really a big deal, they keep a closer eye on you and i remember quite a few people in the room, possibly in case he got stuck. Hope that helps.

Fairly common, the most common cause of big baby and polyhydramnios is diabetes, have you had a diabetes test in the last few weeks?

Hello
I am on the same boat they discovered I have polyhydramnios in my 32 weeks grow scan I hace appointment with FMU they check on scan everything look normal only baby is bigger and I have more waters
They decide to do again test for diabetes and TORCH screening which can show if I have any infection
At the moment they explain to me that the most common cases of middle polyhydramnios is diabetes or nothing and something that occur sometimes
Advice don't go overdue they might want induce me early

Thanks all! It's the right uncomfortable feeling that's bothering me more than anything. I've had two GTTs now and both negative so they're happy it's not diabetes. Got another growth scan on Thursday so will see how that goes and how big baby is due measuring then I guess.

I had this; I think it was identified around 32 weeks. I had a couple of growth scans where it got more severe and then by 38 weeks, it had gone back to normal. It was very odd to see/feel my bump getting smaller! I had a negative GTT too so was just one of those things. DS was born by ELCS (for unconnected reasons) at 39+1 so nobody was very concerned by it!

Just to add, DS wasn't very big in the end (despite measuring relatively large on growth scans). He was on the 9th percentile when born but his massive head threw off the accuracy of the scans.
