Morning sickness HELP!

I've just gone 7 weeks and my morning sickness is starting to become unbearable, Jacobs crackers were helping at the start but now the effect seems to be wearing off.

I've ordered some sea bands & smints that are coming off amazon today but if anyone has any other tips please let me know, I know ginger is supposed to help but I'm not sure whether to get capsules or tea etc.

Thanks so much in advance x

Hi @lozpants mine was really bad between 6 and 10 weeks, I found that the sea bands were the best thing in easing it off, not completely but enough so that I could still function. Also gingernut biscuits, I would have one as soon as I woke up in the morning, helped a bit.
But the bands should help you the most. Good luck! I'm 13 weeks now and starting to feel much better.

@biscuit13 thanks so much, I wasn't sure if the biscuits would be enough % of ginger but I'll get some of those when we go shopping tomorrow, thank you!! Praying the sea bands come this morning 🤢 x

I kept rich tea biscuits next to my bed and ate them during the night and first thing in the morning. Also randomly hot Ribena helped and also apple. Had to be cut up though, couldn't bear the thought of biting into one!! I just needed to be eating constantly and took scones with butter and jam everywhere with me!
It's miserable I know, but one day you will just wake up and the nausea will be gone.

I found that satsumas or clementines helped me, so much so that my boss would keep givinge his ones despite me having lots of my own. Congratulations

Ginger biscuits are the only thing that will help me at the moment! I've been quite lucky and haven't had much in terms of physical sickness but the nausea has been horrendous the last couple of days and they really do help!

You poor thing, it’s really miserably isn’t it?

Here are the things that are helping me get through:

Eating something as soon as I wake up (I keep a packet of plain digestives in my bedside drawer)

Eating little and often - a snack or small meal (marmite toast / pasta with marmite or a stock cube / chips / digestives / crackers) every couple of hours.

Ginger ale, especially stirred til flat. I’m trying to limit this because I know fizzy drinks aren’t great, but it really does help.

Chewing gum

Sipping ice cold water

Hope you find something that works for you! Flowers

@zscaler it's awful, I think I jinxed myself as last week I started a thread questioning why I hadn't had any symptoms yet! 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ thanks so much for your help, I've found ice cold water to help. I'll get OH to get some chewing gum when we go shopping tomorrow! X

I also experienced it from 6 weeks and started to go away at 9 weeks, it was awful and sometimes I was being sick the whole day. Another vote for keeping biscuits by your bed, I have one as soon as I open my eyes even if I go back to sleep after. Also keep snacking, I know it seems so hard but it really helps. I found that I could sometimes stomach (not always nutritional) skittles, ice pops, micro chips, cold meat, lightly salted tortilla chips and sweet muffins. Keep drinking tiny amounts of water but regularly, apple juice if you like that too. Hope it starts to go for you soon. x
