Maternity clothes

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and I'm showing excessively imo. None of my regular clothes fit anymore. I can get away with a few of my dresses when it's warm but I don't have a single pair of trousers that fit me now the weather is turning.

I was hoping to be able to look around the charity shops when I got to this point but that's obviously not happened.
I really can't afford any new clothes especially not this month.

Does anyone know of any online charity type places I can look?
I don't have Facebook but I've looked on Shpock and everyone pretty much wants what they paid for the item new.

Have you looked at bundled on shpock?
I just got 3 pairs of jeans, 4 dresses, 12 tips and some night wear for £12

What size are you? I have some stuff I'll be putting on Ebay soon, size 14-16

Have look on Ebay specifically for maternity bundles. If you find a decent bundle of clothes that you like, it will work out waaaaaaaay cheaper than buying individual items, each with P&P added. I paid about £15ish total for a bundle containing a few tops and a few dresses (deliberately avoided any bundles with trousers though most will include them). Alongside some leggings and loose shirts I already had, these will see me through lockdown with no issues and most of the way to giving birth.

Ebay?

Asda have some very reasonably priced stuff, and in some cases, cheaper than ebay. I used to buy a lot from ebay, but got SO sick of getting things advertised as a size 14 for example, then it arrives and its more like a 10! You generally can't send it back and its a waste unless you can re-sell it. I now buy more from asda and very rarely from ebay.

Local apps for new parents may have some, I know there are different apps in different regions, may be worth asking around on social media. Facebook groups, local swap and sale groups (for other items, but usually lots of baby and mummy stuff available).

Hi, sorry for stepping in on your post but I’m really struggling with this! I have tried online ordering and most stuff just looks like a tent on me! I finally found something on ASOS that looked nice but I’m at the end of my tether with online shopping now, I have moved and my ASOS parcel has been sent out to my old address, such a fiasco trying to change it so they have cancelled it and will issue a refund. I really just want to go and try things on, anyone know if any supermarkets or anything which are open are selling maternity? Don’t want to stand in a long queue for nothing Grin

Dorothy Perkins has maternity wear reduced at the moment

I’ve ordered stuff from New Look, Asda, Debenhams, H&M, Amazon, Jojo Maman Bébé... Maternity clothes are not cheap. It’s possible on Ebay that people aren’t charging what they paid but they weren’t cheap to begin with. I haven’t looked so I can’t say for sure.

With my first DD, I didn’t need maternity clothes until about 24+ weeks. I wore maternity jeggings earlier but just because they were comfier. I am now 20+5 and have been in maternity clothes since last week. You’ll probably find that you’re in a bit of a middle stage where your normal clothes aren’t comfortable but maternity clothes will be too big. I bought some larger sizes of regular clothes (jeans mostly) to wear for the first few months and wore a lot of leggings and loose tops. Probably about 10 weeks to 19 weeks.
