How much should I expect hCG levels to rise at 7 weeks?

I know the doubling rate slows a little bit when you reach 6/7weeks, but in 48 hours my levels rose from 70381,8 to 96495,8...does this sound ok? 7+0 at first reading and 7+2 at second.

Thanks in advance!

Hi OP

My results at 7+2 and 7+4.

We freaked out because they didn’t double but I’m now nearly 28 weeks!

Oh thank you @MrsRose2018, that's reassuring... trying to find things online can be such a minefield. Congratulations and a big thank you for putting my mind to rest!

That seems like a good increase.

I had mine dond at 6 weeks during my pregnancy and they were
6+2 35607
6+4 54365
I remember worrying as they hadn't doubled but I am now holding my 12 week old twins 😊 The nurse told me as long as they have risen by a third then they are happy with that (yours have).

All the best with your pregnancy.

How do you know your hCG levels out of interest? I’m only 5 weeks but keep worrying about things so this would help me calm down a bit!

@Wishing56 Oh how wonderful to have twins! How early did you find out there were 2?? I'm dying to know but the first scan seems such a long way away and I'm not sure which old wives tales I can trust Grin And phew, thank you for sharing your results. Yes, I was a little worried as I was expecting a bigger increase, but you've helped me calm down!

@leblondie Congratualtions! From what I understand, you need to have blood taken and tested at intervals, eg. 48hrs to see how your hCG levels have increased. The 'normal' ranges for hCG levels are huge so one reading alone doesn't really tell you much - it's the difference in the readings that's the useful info. I think early on the increase is very quick and then it starts to slow a bit. I had them done privately because I was worried about some bleeding and didn't want to delay. Not sure how it works in the UK but I imagine the EPU could point you in the right direction! But yes - worth it to put your mind at rest xx

@lily501 I paid for a private scan at 7+6 and found out then. Seeing two little peanut shapes with their little heartbeats fluttering was amazing (and a massive shock)

@leblondie I had my bloods taken due to some early bleeding and went to A&E who referred me to EPU. They checked my cervix was closed and then I went for blood test and two days later another one.

@@Lily501 @Wishing56 thank you both! I was wondering if there were pregnancy style tests available to test hCG levels at home but that makes sense. It’s probably for the best - at-home testing would lead to a lot of neurotic testing I’m sure!
