Morning sickness-how do I keep going?

8 weeks pregnant- expecting to be sick until 13/14 weeks (that's what it was like last time). I honestly don't know how to keep going. I feel so sick all the time. I've got to work and look after a toddler and I just want to sleep away the next 5 weeks. The waves of nausea are horrific and constant. Only actually being sick once or twice a day and it doesn't bring much relief. Sorry for the moan. Just feel so so so helpless this morning! My doctor proscribed stemitil but it's done nothing (and I'm reluctant to take it too). Any words of wisdom out there? I feel horrific today and just can't keep going.

I’m so sorry to hear you feel like that. It is truly horrible and when you think about a long block of time to pass it’s scary. But try and take it day by day. Even hour by hour. You’ll feel ok some points and awful others.
Ask the doctor to try other medication and see if it works better?
Hope you feel better soon x

@GlennRheeismyfavourite I feel your pain so much, and truly sympathise. I'm 9 weeks and the nausea has been horrific, really debilitating. I have a toddler also but luckily DH is currently off of work to do all the childcare because I just wouldn't be able to.

I've been on medication for weeks now, it's been A LOT of trial and error but finally on a mix of three tablets that is making life slightly more barrable. I understand your reluctance to medication, I was the same in my first pregnancy, but without it this time Im honestly not sure if I could have carried on with the pregnancy, which I know is a horrendous thing to say but just how I felt. I really hope it passes quickly for you (and me! 😂)

Mine has JUST stopped (13 weeks tomorrow) so take heart from the other side - it does pass! Try to eat little and often - but do eat. I found the nausea far worse when I didn’t eat. Fresh air helps too.

I was in similar situation and it's only been recently I've stopped being sick (I'm about 18 weeks now). It felt like it would last forever.
For me I found eating little and often and drinking regularly helped. Mints and ginger nut biscuits were good. Try to avoid acidic stuff too I found certain fruits would set me off x
