Round ligament pain when walking?

Hi! I’m 25 weeks in my first pregnancy.
I’m getting what I think is round ligament pain (it feels kind of like a stitch in the bottom/side of my bump) when I’m out walking. I’m previously quite fit and active, I was running regularly (albeit slowly) up to about a month ago, and have switched to daily walks of 3 miles now it got too uncomfortable . The pain seems to come on and off when walking and is mostly on my right hand side, is there anything I can do to stop it or help it go away? Stretching? Strength building? Some kind of support band? Or do I just have to accept it? I want to try to stay fit but don’t want to push through any pain. Any tips appreciated! Thank you x

I can't help but getting exactly the same thing. I'm 26 weeks and walk my dogs for 90 mins a day. I get the same pain on and off during the walk. Some days worse than others.
I assumed it was round ligament pain but hoping someone can give you an answer!
I'm looking at getting a pregnancy belt or something for extra support.

I had found ligament pain in my twin pregnancy and was advised by the chiropractor to do lunges every day, focussing on leaning back slightly to stretch the lower ab muscles while at full lunge IYSWIM. Breathe deeply, stay balanced, hold for a few seconds, then swap legs. At least 10 repetitions morning and night. Additionally, pillow between the knees every single night without fail.

It made a HUGE difference and I carried them to 38+4 with no pain after that!

Support band for when you're walking/exercising might well be helpful - JoJo do one that's quite light support but I've still found helpful for ligament pain, I've also got on order a more sturdy one but that's to help me with SPD

Thanks for the replies so far.

@Spanneroo interested in how pillow between the legs when sleeping helps? I’ve tried this to stop me rolling onto my back but it’s just annoying!!

It needs to be a fairly firm/thick pillow. Your knees should be no closer together than your hips as it puts pressure on your ligaments throughout the night. Lie on your side. I used a thin-ish pillow folded in half. Towards the end, I also had one under my bump to support it (but only needed this because both twins were on one side so the bump was very lop-sided). It is annoying to start with, but I went from being unable to walk through pain, to completely pain free in 3 days (And my pain threshold is high - I had the twins without pain relief!)
