Calcium and severe constipation

I've been prescribed (over the phone!) both low dose aspirin and calcium + vitamin d tablets to prevent pre eclampsia and gestational diabetes - both of which I had in my last pregnancy.
The trouble is I'm now severely constipated and midwife isn't interested. I'm prone anyway as I was born with hirsprungs disease. I'm worried I'm going to her severely blocked - I'm going every day but tiny sheep's pellets with cramps as well. It's so dry!
I'm 14 weeks and along with the usual headaches and nose bleeds - and not seeing an actual midwife between 8 and 22 weeks due to the bloody covid crisis - I'm absolutely hating being pregnant. Again.
Any ideas? I can't get hold of any prune juice on lockdown

Dulcoease stool softening tablets are excellent - usually available in supermarket

Eat baked beans and tinned pears

Drink plenty water

I was going to say prune juice, prunes also work but is that high sugar ok with gestational diabetes? A fruit and veg smoothie? Ryvitas?

magnesium, take it in the afternoon/evening, not at the same time as calcium.
also helps with leg cramps

I would suggest calling your GP to have a softener like lactulose or movicol prescribed. I take movicol every so often as am also suffering with it.

I'm having the same issue at 32 weeks, but just due to pregnancy really. It's bloody horrible and I feel your pain!

Fruit - apples, pears, kiwis (eat the skin if you can bear it!)

Juices - if you can't get prune, then other juices such as pineapple juice, apple juice, any juice with lots of bits

But what really helps me is using my birthing/exercise ball. Gently bounce and rock your hips, it seems to help get everything straightened out a bit for me!
