When would you go to the hospital? If at all.

I have a condition where being sick is pretty normal. We always laughed that I wouldn't know I was pregnant because I'm always sick!

Anyway, since being pregnant I haven't been sick! Small victories, however for the last 12 hours I haven't been able to keep any fluids down, including ice pops. I can however keep food down (but it will come up the minute I drink).

I don't want to go to the hospital and over react (I'm playing it by ear until tomorrow anyway) but when I've been in the past they're not that bothered until it's been 2-3 days and even I usually get a bag and fluids and sent home because I can still eat, but now I have baby I'm more open to going in.

I've been hospitalised for this in the past, the last stint keeping me in there for 7 weeks as it wouldn't calm down!

Has anybody had experience of going to hospital with sickness? Or am I being dramatic?

Do you have a headache, are your hands puffy, feet swollen?

If you are keeping food down its unlikely they will be much help. Unfortunately.

Ketones only appear in the urine when you cannot keep food or drink down (and usually for about 24 hrs)

They may offer you an anti-sickness injection to help - but I'm not sure, if you havent been sick during your pregnancy you may have just caught a sickness bug?

Regardless - I hope you start to feel better soon!

@justasking111 I have a headache, but I think that is just from the not drinking, my hands and feet feel fine.

@BeautyAndTheBump1 thanks! Like I said I normally wait until I haven't passed urine in 24 hours and my mouth becomes super dry (I have a letter from my consultant to say when this happens I must go to A&E). I know it sounds silly but I know I don't have a bug, it's just a flare up, like when you have hay fever and can tel the difference between a cold and that. I've had this condition for years and that's why I'm in two hearts about phoning up/being seen, especially in the current climate. I'm actually allergic to two of the anti sickness medications (lucky me) and the only one that stops the vomit is one that's administered by an IV which again is very annoying.
