There's things you can do if labour has started but I don't think it's a good idea to try and induce it from nothing.

Sorry but you may just have to wait it out

Pineapple, curry, gravity - stay active, on your feet, clean etc. Then there is a herb or a tea that people talk about too but a day out after a pineapple did it for me Grin

I know this isn't what you're asking, but you're not full term yet please don't try to make your baby come early. I know you're only days away from being full term but a baby born even a few days early isn't what you want. Having your baby taken to SCBU straight after birth is not how it should be.

I have just had a cervical cerclage put in at 24 weeks as DD1 was born at 28 weeks, DD2 at 33 weeks and I'm showing signs that this baby is also going to come early. I would give anything to get as far in to a pregnancy as you and have a baby anywhere close to full term. Please don't wish it away. Your baby is right where it should be, getting stronger and healthier.

I understand. I'm due around the same time as you, and this weekend I've hit "the wall". I now want the baby out! But I'm going to make myself wait 2 more weeks before actively trying to get things going. I want to be much closer to 39 wks, and at least past 37, to avoid complications or a longer stay in hospital (dreading being in at this time as it is. The quicker we're in and out, the less chance of catching covid-19 whilst in).

I'm doing my best to distract myself for the time being. Difficult though when every time I move I am in so much pain...

We're almost there!

I'm afraid I have to agree with @allthesharks The last few weeks of pregnancy are for baby's brain growth and they're so important. Every day your baby is in there counts, which is why even for medical problems you're unlikely to be induced before 38 weeks. Also, the thing about bringing on labour whether it's diy methods or going to hospital for an induction is that it doesn't work unless your body is ready to go into labour anyway. That's why so many inductions fail and end up in a c section.
I know it's not the answer you want but it is what it is. Baby will come when she's ready.

I was 39 +4 and was determined to avoid an induction I had booked on my due date. Spent all day cleaning the house, being active as possible and in the evening I decided to give my ball a go as I hadn't tried it yet. Spent 20 minutes bouncing and rolling my hips. Went upstairs to the loo and my waters broke!

Although, ended up being meconium in the waters, so had to be induced anyway!!

I don't think anything works, you just have to wait till the baby is ready.
