Advice please!!

We had our baby girl in November , we realised she had eczema and a bit of cradle cap at around 3/4 weeks old.
I wasn’t surprised by eczema due to myself suffering it with all my life and my son having mild eczema,

Her cradle cap was horrendous to the point her head was solid with scanning which seemed out and bled. We were back and forth to drs with her. Things got really bad about 6/7 weeks but due to Covid -19 we wasn’t able to see dr therefore they prescribed creams over the phone which burnt all our babies skin. (She looked like I’d poured boiling water over her) I went into the surgery and demanded to see a dr who told me she thought she had Cows milk allergy.
She gave us Nutramigen formula, the milk worked which was fab!
Her cradle cap started to disappear and she had hair!
Her eczema on the other hand has just gone from bad to worse!

We’ve tried prescription creams, child’s farm products, aveeno (which works for me and our son) and now Weleda products.
Nothing is seeming to work. She’s now 5months old and hasn’t slept for more then 2-3hours which is starting to take a toll on her and us.
She’s having to wear kits constantly which means she can’t play , she’s forward so always wants to hold/play with toys.

We’ve changed her bedding a nightwear to organic 100% cotton and nothing seems to settle her.

Has anyone else been through similar situation?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! CMPA mum here to a 15 month old. We breastfed. He's now at a stage on the milk ladder where he can tolerate up to chocolate and cheese but can't have yoghurt or straight up milk. He also has a soy allergy (the crossover between milk and soy is very common). Nutrimigen is a hydrolysed formula and unfortunately some exceptionally sensitive babies can't tolerate this. It also contains soy so that could be your issue as well. I'd request an alternative formula. Because my boy is so sensitive and reacts via breast milk we were offered a prescription for neocate which is amino acid based so contains no milk what so ever however we chose to continue BFing on an elimination diet rather than the neocate because the stuff is vile, although I know someone who's boy used it and they eventually take to it, they reccomend starting it before six months x

Thank you, we will phone Dr tomorrow.
It’s so hard because no one will see her due to Covid-19 which I completely understand the guidelines but we are running out of ideas. There’s only so much advice we can get over a phone.

Thanks again!

Honestly some docs are useless. We were fobbed off constantly. Told it was colic when he wasn't crying, told it was fore/hind milk imbalance? At one point told it "probably wasn't an allergy" and to just reintroduce dairy to my diet 😑 we basically had to guide ourselves until we "confirmed" the allergy by trialling reintroducing it. The first time we were taken seriously was when our HV insisted on a referral to rapid access at the local hospital and he was officially diagnosed. You should be referred to a dietician too (for what they're worth) but have a look for the CMPA weaning page on Facebook they're really good x

Starting to have the same impression of drs!
We’ve seen more dr with baby girl then I have in my entire life!
Our HV has been fab , she’s not getting dietician involved yet as she said there not all that useful until we decide to introduce dairy products into her diet.

Just feeling so helpless.
Running of very little sleep so our eldest (nearly 4) is feeling it too because we’re having to be so hands on with baby girl. Luckily we take it in turns so he’s not feeling pushed out. X
