What was it like? I'm 26 weeks and had a rough first 18 weeks with nausea and sickness.
Now at 26 weeks I never really feel great but I don't have any back pain, aches or SPD. Also no heartburn. I'm still walking 90 mins a day and want to keep this up.

I sleep well (thanks to my pregnancy pillow) and when I read other threads I feel quite thankful that I'm not really suffering (yet)

When did you start getting symptoms such as

  • heartburn
  • bad back
  • SPD
  • Joint pain... etc

How did/do you feel at 6-7 months pregnant?

Hi, I'm also 26 weeks. I had sickness from about 8-14 weeks, then it came back about 23 weeks. I had heartburn and reflux from about 18 weeks and that's still going on. Since about 24 weeks I've struggled sleeping. I've had back and hip pain all the way through (but I have a pre-existing condition). I struggle with the pain and tiredness some days but overall I put myself in the lucky column I think. I've heard horror stories about much worse symptoms!

@artistformerlyknownas It's the heartburn I'm dreading, I keep hoping because I've not had it yet, maybe I won't have it. But my bump isn't big yet so I know when things get more cramped in there it might make an appearance.

I'm sorry you're having back and hip pain... I'm starting to struggle with my walks a bit but so far back isn't niggling at all thankfully.

I'm exhausted too, especially this last week Shock x

Sounds like you've been quite lucky! I'm 28 wks with baby #2 and have had insomnia and heartburn pretty much from the beginning of both pregnancies. In the last few weeks my pelvic pain has started up, which is probably the weight building on the muscles in this area, and although I'd be quite active, a 30min walk with my toddler on his bike is about as much as I can manage in one go now. Things generally slow as you head for 40 weeks as baby gets bigger as your body strains to accommodate it, but it's all temporary, once the baby arrives things start to return to normal (thank goodness!) Do what you can to stay active but equally listen to your body and remember it's all worth it in the end Smile

I've been fine up until about 32 weeks, and it's been quite a quick decline in physical ability, in terms of breathing space and level of tiredness and pain in my back/hips since then!!

MsChatterbox · 19/04/2020 07:05

I'm 30 weeks pregnant. Had heartburn throughout so you may be lucky with that. Other than that just this last week I've started to get a bit of pelvis pain but tbh I've been pretty lucky too! I am struggling more to keep up with my toddler though.

I'm 34 weeks, I still have HG and vomit at least 5 times a day, but apart from that I'm quite symptom free.
I've only had heartburn once or twice and it was mild. That was around 28 wks.

My back hurts now if I go for walks, but nothing a hot water bottle wont fix.
I also get achey hips sleeping at night & have to turn alot.
These started from around 30 weeks.
I have been very inactive during my pregnancy though due to the HG so I guess I'm not helping myself where as if you keep up with consistent exercise it may help :)

I’m 20 weeks with baby 2. Feeling more tired & achy this time, but I’m fatter and have no chance to rest with my nearly 3 year old and no preschool!

First time round I felt good from about 15 weeks. No spd / heartburn or anything. Walked 8 miles the day I went into labour! I was very lucky to have such a nice pregnancy.

Thank you all and such a mixed bag! I think because I had horrific nausea/sickness for so long that I expected to be plagued with problems throughout. Maybe there's a few I'll get away with!

I had a perfect second semester, sleeping well, had energy etc. My third semester coincided with the start if the Covid-19 outbreak. Since them my sleep has been poor (not due to discomfort), I've been feeling really lethargic and also a bit nauseous. Not sure if it's just third trimester feels or something more subconscious. Plus the heartburn Angry

Sleepyquest · 19/04/2020 09:51

I didn't get heartburn until about 7.5 months, but a rennie soon eased it off.

Never really had back pain. Everything started to ache a bit about 8.5 months and I'm less fit than you (wouldn't catch me walking so much).

Don't panic. None of those things you mention are guaranteed to happen to you

Seasprayandsunshine · 19/04/2020 10:03

28 weeks was when it started to hurt. SPD kicked in and only got worse the further along I got. I tried to exercise through it but it was a fine line between overdoing it and making it worse.

I didn't have any sickness, constipation, swelling etc. Only had a teeny bit of heartburn.

But to be honest, I only felt really uncomfortable from about 36 weeks. Her foot was stuck in my ribs, couldn't put my shoes on, bend over, walk far without getting out of breath.

My pregnancy pillow was my saving grace and I slept pretty well right up until I gave birth.

I have more pain after the birth tbh (not the usual pains either) my lower back and hips are in bits, I have no strength in my legs/core which has made my knees hurt!

The last month usually for me, having to lift your belly up when you roll over at night:), lack of breath which is going to be worrying this time around.
