So many prams, prices vary massively too. Does anyone know what pram they will be getting? Or already got there’s?
I don’t even know where to start to be honest Grin so thought I’d see what’s recommended on here.

When DS was born last year we went with the Cybex Balios S travel system (ordered online for approx £450 including car seat). Still using it after a year and really rate it.

Having said that if I was to do it again I wouldn’t be opposed to going for something like a baby jogger because you can attach a carrycot/car seat and then have a regular stroller that’s easier to fold when baby is a bit bigger. Going to buy the double version when DC2 is born in September I think.

mamaof2girls · 19/04/2020 09:35

First daughter I had the mothercare pram everything for £300 it's great shes 16 months and still using it but due our second in 5 weeks so we and bought the bugaboo donkey 3 duo! X

cultkid · 19/04/2020 09:36

I've had lots of buggies ..

I would get a babyzen yo-yo if I were you and a good sling

I have had a joolz day and also a chameleon both brand new
Both an arse ache and I had a huge car

Honestly the smaller the better

cultkid · 19/04/2020 09:39

I also saw an amazing new Joolz which looks even easier then the yo-yo to fold but you can't use it from birth / with a bassinet so it's not right for the first buggy its called a joolz Aer

Connie222 · 19/04/2020 09:59

This will be my 3rd baby over 18 years and I’ve had about 10 pushchairs between the other two.

The smaller the better. Those huge travel systems are a ball ache and you use them for such a short space of time before you end up with an umbrella fold buggy anyway.

The best one I’ve ever had though was a second hand bugaboo bee with Dd, but I only bought it when she was 18 months. Used it until she was 3, I loved it.

Will probably get another second hand bee one this time although have been looking at uppababy minu as it’s small and light.

I’ve promised myself that I will only be buying one and one only for this child.

Seasprayandsunshine · 19/04/2020 10:18

We got the ocarro and love it!!! The one thing I would say is don't bother with the bassinet. The pushchair seat is suitable from birth.

We used the car seat attached to the pram until she got a little bigger then straight into the pushchair seat.

We also got the cloud z car seat. We bought this separately to the pram, but now M&P bundle includes this seat - it was a different seat when we were buying.

Indigogirl88 · 19/04/2020 10:46

@Seasprayandsunshine we are looking at the Ocarro as well does the lie flat part on the pushchair suit new born then, as it doesn't have sides so just wondering? X

KHall84 · 19/04/2020 10:52

First time round I had the joolz day and was nice to push but a pain to fold and basket was to small, this time round I wanted something that was higher up and also bugger basket so we got the silvercross Coast havent used it yet but when I have practiced putting it up and down its so easy and cam be a double if I wanted to xx

Pentium85 · 19/04/2020 11:12

One thing I would highly reccomend is a 360 car seat. I had the cloud and it was fabulous

Littlebb2020 · 19/04/2020 11:14

I am getting the meego Milano is silver charm. It is expensive and out of budget range but this might be my one and only baby so think I’d regret not getting the one I want. It also comes with everything so will last a good few years x

Seasprayandsunshine · 19/04/2020 11:21

@indigogirl88 Yes it's perfectly suitable from birth as it reclines fully and can be parent facing.

Our little girl hates the bassinet - she was/is a small baby so I think it was just to big and cold for her. We are using the foot muff/insert thingy and that has sides to it so it's more snug and secure. You can use it and unzip the part that goes over their front and legs if it's too hot. That's what we have been doing in the nice weather.

Honestly we love it. It's so easy to fold/change parts. It's great on all terrains.

I'll try and get a pic for you.

edgeware · 19/04/2020 11:23

I’ve still got a Uppababy Vista from DS1 and if I had to buy it again, I would! Great storage basket, can handle rough terrain (friends Silver Cross would get stuck everywhere and mine wouldn’t).

Daisy95 · 19/04/2020 11:26

We’ve gone for the icandy peach, it came yesterday and I love it!

Pineappletree33 · 19/04/2020 11:38

We’ve got the silver cross wave. Converts to a double. Love it still and can’t wait to use the bassinet later on this year again for a new arrival.
My friend has had one of the Buggaboos for under a year and the suspension is knackered on it already. She’s disappointed with it.

oncemorewithfeeling99 · 19/04/2020 11:58

I’d really recommend the City mini for long term benefit.

HarrietM87 · 19/04/2020 15:37

I have the bugaboo bee still in use for my DS (2) and will be using it again for the new one due in November. It’s excellent for living in London - we don’t drive so use public transport a lot - it’s light and small, basket fits a fair amount in. Bit more substantial than the yo-yo but lighter and narrower than the smaller uppababy. Best of all it can parent face right up to toddler age which many smaller ones (like the yo-yo can’t). And even though it’s small it’s surprisingly sturdy even off road. I love it!

Indigogirl88 · 19/04/2020 15:41

Thanks that's really helpful @Seasprayandsunshine it's a total mine field but hopefully when the shops open we'll be able to get out and try some

quarantinevibes · 19/04/2020 15:51

Thanks everyone really helpful Smile just googling some names I’ve never heard of to check them out.
I really like the look of bugaboos they are quite pricey though! I’m a bit hesitant buying second hand I’m Worried something will be wrong with it and I’ve wasted hundreds of pounds! Maybe il try join a group or something rather than looking on eBay or market place xx

I've got a bugaboo cameleon and bloody love it.
I have a 2nd hand icandy tandem, it's good but I think 2nd hand does feel second hand whereas my bugaboo is mint condition. It's a good pram though (has a single mode)
I've had a variety of small lightweight pushchairs and hate thrm although I walk vs drive 90% of the time. If I was mostly driving I wouldn't need the travel system so much

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/04/2020 16:20

Cosatto Wow for I think. I want a bit of colour! They seem quite light and compact which appeals too.

happymummy12345 · 19/04/2020 16:57

For us it was silver cross no question. We got the pioneer as we preferred the bigger wheels and basket. Neither of us drive so it used a lot. I love silver cross. Had all the matching accessories as well. (Also the balmoral is way out of our price range. My dream pram. I'll keep dreaming).

MRSSGS · 19/04/2020 17:44

We've gone for the egg but we were the same as you so confused with what was available.
We found watching non bias reviews on YouTube really helpful and eliminated a lot of brands quickly for us.
It's a bit like shopping for a dress you'll know when you see it xxx

sugarplumfairy2010 · 19/04/2020 20:41

I've bought the bugaboo cameleon for my little girl due august. Bought it straight after my 20 week scan as it was on offer for £480 with 12 months interest free payment so couldn't resist. Can't wait to use it. I had the mamas and papas flip xt2 with my 2yr old and that was a really good pram too.

TheCraicDealer · 19/04/2020 20:58

We have a Bugaboo Fox and whilst it's brilliant in a lot of ways I do sometimes wish I'd just got a Bee. It's super light, one piece fold (even when parent facing) and baby can face both ways which was a big deal for me personally. I got the Fox mainly because the seat on it is higher and it's more suitable for off road terrain, but as DD gets older those things matter less and less!

Maincat · 19/04/2020 21:11

We bought a cosatto wow with DS. It is so much lighter than many, well built and the patterns appealed. It's held up well although we got a second hand Baby Jogger City Mini GT as we moved to somewhere more rural and needed more all terrain wheels. I'd recommend either, they've been fab. Will use both again with the next baby! Cosatto also comes with a 4 year guarantee.
