There’s a few threads on this in the pregnancy section with good advice. They can’t force you to have a patient facing role, the guidance is clear. They can still ask you to work in a non patient facing role tho on site if under 28 weeks. Over 28 weeks you have to work from home or be signed off. Check the RCOG guidance

after saying I couldn’t have patient contact since this started weeks ago there now saying I have to I’m scared going into work as it but at least I could social distant I can’t if I am forced to have patient contact left work in tears yesterday so signed off for a week with stress. Feel like I have no rights cos I’m not 28 weeks yet I’m only 17 weeks.

Thanks so much for this advice least I can show them that now and see what they say. You would think the nhs would want to look after their staff not stress them out and make them ill.

They can’t force you to have patient contact - just show them the RCOG guidelines and also there is a standard letter you can use on pregnantthenscrewed website
