SPD and C-section

I'm currently 35 weeks +4 I have had SPD for what seems like forever, I am on crutches and if it wasn't because we were on lockdown I probably would be in a wheelchair by now as walking is excruciating! It's getting worse as he moves lower.
(Not helped by been on lockdown with a 2 year old, key worker husband and obviously no support from family atm)
I'm having a planned section and I'll be seeing the consultant on Thursday to discuss the date. I've been told it will be in my 39th week.
I was told they do perform them before then if there is a medical need.
Has anyone's section been bought forward because of SPD?
Obviously I want DS to be healthy (more then I care about me) and I'm having a scan on Thursday too so they can check growth etc, I just wondered if there was any hope that I may not be made to wait another 3 painful weeks before he's delivered.
Also I understand it should go after his arrival- how long did it take your SPD to f**k off?

As horrible as spd is and I completely sympathise...it really would be quite risky to do a c/s before 39 weeks. Your baby would be at real risk of having respiratory distress amongst other complications. It’s much safer to wait. I felt some relief from SPD straight after the delivery but it took months to go completely. It was much more manageable following delivery though.

I had horrific spd and my baby was huge, I begged them to bring my section forward but they said it wasn't something they would do. Baby was delivered at 39+2 and my mobility was pretty poor the last few weeks

My spd did go after 3 weeks or so

I had SPD and an ELCS that still happened at 39 weeks, despite the pain I was in.

It did ease but even now, four years later, I do have to be careful about some movements. But the pain lessened very quickly.

@strawberry2017 have you tried a support belt such as a Serola belt? I was like you in my. last pregnancy - I wore my Serola very low and tight on the hips (wayyy Under bump) and it gave some relief

Try heat on the area as a therapy to get the pain to calm down - I used a hair dryer while lying in bed fully clothed. Or hot water bottle good

Try to wear good shoes or barefoot only - no sloppy slippers etc. You want to help stabilise your hips as much as poss

Sleeping with long pillow between knees and ankles is soothing

IF pain doesn’t go a few weeks after birth, google the ‘O.P Clinic’ in Australia. I used this program 2 years after, and it saved me from daily pain. Save that name somewhere to refer back to if needed x

Thanks everyone, I am so ready for baby boy to be here.
I have ice packs to help as the physio said where I have the pain won't respond to heat and I do have a support bandage but it's not as useful now we are on lockdown as it's not actually helpful for when I'm sitting so much.
I have so many pillows in the bed propping different parts of me.
I will definitely look at that program @gerdticker
Part of me is hoping that by the time I've recovered from the section the pain has gone and I'll feel normal again but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. X
