I’m 13 weeks and still have no energy! The house is a mess but have no energy for a proper clean. Even taking a shower and drying my hair feels like a mammoth task! Please tell me it gets better soon?

Mine came back so slowly that I can’t pin point the exact moment . I remember after 10 weeks the worst of the nausea had passed but I was still feeling beyond exhausted. The exhaustion slowly started to get better and it was around 18 or 19 weeks that I remember having a moment where I realised I felt amazing and had been for a while . I think every day it got a tiny bit better until I was fully back to myself

I started feeling a bit better around 16 weeks but then became incredibly tired again around 24 weeks and have been knackered since. The window was sadly brief!

i felt crap til about week 13... then AMAZING.. now 27 weeks and not quite sure how i'm going to get through the next 12.. not sure if it's general lethargy caused by corona stay at home though!

Haven't slept well since pregnancy.. Think I have some years left before that becomes reality.

I got it back about 15 weeks, lost it again at about 21!

PippaPegg · 13/04/2020 21:07

20 weeks.

Watch out for sickness coming back for a little encore.. Envy not envy!

I’m 15 weeks now and although still get tired, I gradually feel I am gaining more energy than I had. I was exhausted through 1st trimester. Like you, even having a bath or washing my hair felt like it was too much effort. Weekends were a write off, I couldn’t bring myself to do anything.

The last week or so, I have felt fine to cook dinner once I log off from work and tidy the kitchen after (probs helped that I’m not having to do the hour drive home from work at the moment), and the weekends I have been able to get my washing done and clean at least one room in the house / help DH with the painting before it feels too much - which is a huge improvement to what it has been like!

So think I am getting there!

Thank you for all of the replies they are giving me some hope 😅 I thought 12 weeks would be the magical point where I feel like me again but clearly that isn’t going to happen anytime soon!

My son is 3yr8mo (now pg with second) and I'm still waiting.

On the plus side, the exhaustion (& lack of alcohol) makes me sleep really deeply and have cool dreams. I swear the only time I sleep properly is when I'm pregnant haha

kittykat7210 · 14/04/2020 09:47

I asked my mum, since mine never came back, she says, never. You never sleep properly again. She has 2 kids (27&24) both moved out. She still wakes up at 6.30am every day despite being furloughed and not needing to get up at the moment!

When they fly the nest Grin.

Honestly, I always feel exhausted right throughout pregnancy and then for at least the first six months after birth.
