Too lazy for nesting

I want to get my house in order, sort out cupboards and drawers before the baby comes in less than 6 weeks ... But it seems so boring. It's not like I have anything else to do either! Can somebody give me a motivational shove. Anyone else feeling lazy like this?
In my previous pregnancies my nesting was crazy motivated!

Ah don't stress it baby won't care if the cupboards are clean... when you feel like it you'll know you are getting closer Wink

I do feel like, I want to do it.... But its like my bed has some extreme gravitational force that pulls me back every time I try and do something else.

I think lots of people are feeling lazy and/or tired at the moment. Most people I speak to say this lockdown is making them feel more tired than usual.

The sofa is my gravitational force. Would much rather sit and binge watch than tidy and sort the house.

I have 7 weeks to go and literally want to do nothing, but lay and moan and feel sorry for myself 😁 then I moan I'm bored, but refuse to do any of the 1000 jobs that need doing. Weird phase I'm going through!

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and am in the middle of doing this. It’s hard (I’m shattered!) but I’m feeling quite anxious about the birth and it’s really helped me mentally to get everything in order at home.

Today’s tasks: put together the pram and make a start on my bedroom!

I've started.. Literally not enough space for everything I want to put in the cupboard. I need another cupboard! The drawers was a mad idea. No way I can sort the drawers.

I feel like when I’m stuck at home like now, I’m forced to see how much crap is in every corner. Normally I would ignore it all but right now it’s all staring at me making me feel overwhelmed. Instead of attempting to do it all in one go like my nesting instincts are saying, I’ve been giving myself one job per day. I made a big list of all the main things that I wanted to do before baby comes and am slowly ticking them off. Yesterday I cleaned out the cutlery and spice drawers (don’t know where all the crumbs come from!) and today I’m tackling the bathroom. I then reward myself with something nice for me or bites from an Easter egg. One task at a time is a lot more manageable!

As others have said, break it down to smaller tasks e.g. I'll do one cupboard today. It all adds up. Do what u can and rest the rest of the time x

I just kept telling myself that every day I left things they would get physically harder to do. Spent a good dew weeks piwering through everything as a result and am so pleased I did as I can hardly bend down now at 39 weeks
