Hi, I have been using raspberry leaf tea 3 cups a day since 32 weeks pregnant.. I'm currently 36 weeks now.. Iv heard it helps with labour and is good for you :) trying too stay active as much as can by going for a walk once a day and using my birthing ball too
. Did any off these help with labour and preparing your body or is it a myth?

No one can really tell you that, can they? You can only experience a given labour once, and you can't go back and re-do it to see if it would have been any different without the tea.

I took it, no idea if it did any good though. Didn't seem to do any harm.

I drank the stuff for weeks on end. Hated it! Ended up with an EMCS due to undiagnosed breech presentation (nout to do with the tea not working haha) but had a really good recovery so who knows. I'm tempted to try it again this time even though I'm having a section. It's meant to tone the womb muscles so makes them more efficient at contracting but doesn't do anything to induce labor as some claim.

If it doesn’t do any harm and makes you feel like you’re doing something positive then go for it.

I drank 3 cups a day through my 3rd trimester with both my pregnancies. My first labour was hell on earth, my second was so easy I couldn't believe it. So personally I don't think it made any difference to me. But I really liked the taste and it was a good way of encouraging myself to drink more fluids (which I was otherwise reluctant to do because needing to wee a lot was such a pain). If you like the taste then there's no evidence it'll do you any harm, even if it doesn't actually help your labour. I also ate a shit load of curry, hot sauce, pineapple, walked loads, had clary sage oil in my baths etc etc. You name it I tried it, but the only thing I really think helped was the exercising.
