Cost of scan photos - RVI, Newcastle.

Hi,
I have my ‘first’ dating scan next week and have read that I need to pay for photos.
Is this correct and in so, how much are they please? Just so I know how much change to take with me. Thank you.

@LouisaPipSqueaK it sounds like they're still sending out the standard letter but on their Facebook page it states you have to go to the scans alone (I also rang up before mine and they confirmed this).
I was there 2 weeks ago for my 20 week scan and it was so quiet, lots of ladies sitting alone in the waiting room so every one in the same boat.

@LouisaPipSqueak I had my 20 week scan at the RVI on Wednesday and bought a voucher beforehand just in case I needed it as obviously my husband wasn't there, and no one asked for it. The sonographer just cane and handed me an envelope full of photos when I came out! 🤷‍♀️ So I wouldn't bother getting any vouchers! Good luck by the way x

My 12 weeks scan picture was free at my 20 week scan it was £5 with my local NHS hospital

On another note, If I’m going in by myself can someone guide me in the right direction of which way to go when in the hospital. Can I go through the main entrance or there quicker way - I don’t fancy a 20 minute walk to get there! 😂

@LouisaPipSqueak, the closest entrance is the one on Richardson Road, to the left of the A&E entrance then you just go up in the lifts next to the Costa.
It's miles from the main entrance and I was keen to spend as little time inside the hospital as possible.
If you need car parking, there was loads on Richardson Road itself.

Scan done, everything fine - thank you all especially @sel2223 who saved me a massive trip walking through the hospital.

I'm not the best at this but fun guess will say girl as it look a lot like my scan pic at that stage x
