What are they testing urine for?

At the antenatel appointment does anyone know what they test the urine for? I checked the nhs website which just says it includes protein.

I'm wondering because what I thought was just a pregnancy symptom of lots of discharge the midwife took a swab and tested me for strep B and some other stuff. Its turns out that I have thrush. Which is weird because I haven't been itchy. I've been a bit sensitive down there but just assumed it was a normal pregnancy symptom.

So now I am thinking that me struggling to empty my bladder is a water infection rather than just a pregnancy symptom. Also I don't feel like I need a wee in the same way as pre pregnancy, like I just go to the toilet regularly and my bladder feels full rather than the usual sensation. I can go to the toilet twice within 10 mins and still wee which makes me think I'm not able to empty it properly in the first place.

I've got a midwife app next week so will ask her to check for urine infection but just wondered if they already check that in the routine apps.

Thanks

Protein, and evidence of UTI/bacteria in the urine which would need treatment regardless of symptoms

Preeclampsia and glucose x

thanks @emerald89 so it's unlikely I have a uti as the symptoms I've described have been there for about 2 months and my last midwife app was about 3 weeks ago.
