Is it normal for symptoms to come and go?

Bit of a worrier here... I’m somewhere between 8+1 and 8+6. I’ve had some nausea mainly worse in evenings and tender boobs but this seems to have worn off in last few days... i just don’t really feel pregnant.. ? Is this normal? I had an early scan 2 weeks ago which showed everything ok and saw the heartbeat but can’t help but worry. Also, is slight loss of taste normal?

You've seen a heartbeat so the chances of miscarriage are less already.

Yes it's normal to an extent to experience symptoms coming and going.

If you get very worried, contact your GP they can refer you to the EPU.

yes most definitely.. I worried through all 3 pregnancies.

I'm 6+6 and tending to alternate between feeling totally fine and feeling totally terrible. I think it's normal :-)

Hi I'm 7+3 and find I get symptoms in waves of two or three days, I'll feel bloated, sick, sore, tired for 2 or 3 days then I'll have two days feeling normal, then the symptoms have come back.

When I mentioned it to midwife she just mentioned that you have different waves of hormones rushing through your body so symptoms can come and go with those waves rather than it always being constant!

hope this helps a bit!

Some days I feel grand and almost forget I'm pregnant. Others, I feel like death warmed up. Same with all my pregnancies, so definitely normal for symptoms to come and go.

Yes my symptoms like someone has already posted seem to come in waves, several bad dsys then maybe 2 days if feeling much better, then the cycle kicks off again. I guess over time the hormones just keep increasing and it's probably this rise that makes the symptoms worse again. Smile

One thing I did wonder if anyone else has experienced is a lack of symptoms first thing on a morning? I feel normal, apart from being desperate for a wee, then as the day rolls on symptoms get stronger?

sarahc336 · 08/04/2020 08:51

I think everyone has their own pattern, my symptoms are worse in the morning and then in the evening g but in the day I get some respite from them, guess everyone is different. Symptoms can be worse with tiredness though so after getting some sleep then I guess you can understand that for you they are at their lowest x

Something I always have in the back of my mind too - symptoms seem to just be tiredness and sore boobs and not much else which I am trying not to worry about. Had a few days of feeling really rough but that’s it. I think we are conditioned to think we must feel awful at all times because that is the pregnancy story we are used to hearing - non stop morning sickness etc, not many people talk about those who have an easier time of it. You have seen a heartbeat and that is a great sign.

@Rara88Cas when I was pregnant with my son I felt as little rough in the morning and it was most intense in the afternoon. This time round (9+5) I am fine in the morning and it mostly kicks in after lunch and eases off into the evening. And some days are worse than others. I am assuming this is normal for me!
