Has anyone else been able to do this? Is it too risky? First c section was due to placental abruption. The second DC cord wrapped around his neck, he was fine but I bled a lot after surgery and found the whole experience pretty awful. I’m now pregnant with dc3 and I’m really scared to have another c section.

Hi, I’ve just search this same question, and had to read this twice, to check I hadn’t written it myself and forgotten about it.

I’m in the same position, first emergency cs due to placenta abruption, second was because baby started to show fetal distress in labour- turned out he had cord wrapped around him too. Both times were terrifying although children are fine and healthy. I’m pg with dc3, and have no idea what to do. After two incredibly stressful c sections (dc1 resuscitated), I’m terrified of going into theatre and could never do that again as a first choice,, but I know I will accept whichever the safest option is. It’ll be a while before I get to see the consultant, so any thoughts v welcome x

I've had an emergency section and a planned one. And I'm having another planned one in 2 weeks. I was advised by the consultant it is safer. The mw however said 2 sections is not anymore risky than vbac after 1 section.
Anyway I chose the section. I feel too much can go wrong in labour and my anxiety goes through the roof thinking about it.

Hi. When i had my 3rd baby, all throughout my pregnancy i was told id have a CS. It was a must. I was really worried as i had a very hard time with my second CS.
However nature intended me to have a normal delivery as i went into labour early. They were preparing the theatre for me and were extremely busy that day, i had told them that i was sure i was ready to pop but i don't think the nurse believed me, i ended up starting to have her naturally.
After hearing so much prebirth about risks and how bad it could be etc, the labour was fairly straight forward and they told me afterwards that they didn't think it was that risky after all and im ok to have vbac if i ever get there again.
So moral of the story, don't worry yourself sick like i did as things can change and you might not even end up in that position.
Wishing you the best
