Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can help! My partner is 9 weeks pregnant and has been experiencing Nausea 24/7 for the last 2 weeks. We have spoken to the GP and taking prescribed tablets but nothing seems to shake it off. She’s to the point where she is bed bound and cannot move, she is drinking plenty and doesn’t seem to have problems eating either. She says everytime she moves she feels like she is going to be sick but nothing but dry heaving. I’m not sure how much she can take, horrible to see as she is like a different person, she is really struggling. So far we have tried ginger, travel bands, lavender oil, fruit pastels/ starburst, lemon etc you name it! Hoping someone can provide some other suggestions etc

I can’t provide any advice but I can empathise. I am 9 weeks and feel exactly the same. I also have a toddler to look after.

Well done for keeping her going and doing what you can, it really is debilitating and the only relief seems to be sleep. Just make sure she is hydrated and eating every hour, even a cracker will do. As soon as the stomach starts to feel empty that’s when it gets really unbearable.

I have been drinking spicy ginger tea (twinings I think) which seems to help for a little bit.

I really feel for her cause I'm exactly the same and it's awful.
I've bought some sweets off amazon called myrtle and maud queasy drops which are good.
Ginger ale, stem Ginger biscuits are also good if she can manage to nibble one before she gets out of bed. Good Luck xxx

Also try gaviscon as it may be acid reflux xx

It's awful. Please go back to the gp I've had to try various medications to try and feel a bit better x
