I’ve always been warm-blooded and get hot really quickly.
Now that I’m 5 months pregnant and the weathers warmer, I am starting to get really uncomfortable.
We have a large fan in our room in which our DC sleeps in too.
But sometimes, if I leave the fan on all night, the 3 of us wake up somewhat bunged up and headachey. It’s not all the time but DH defo feels the worst out of us3.
I can’t open the windows more than an inch either bcs of an extension room just outside and below our room window (easy access into the room for burglars). And top window due to bugs (yes! believe it or not we have been bitten when left wider opened!).

We live with extended family so literally every other room in the house is occupied. But DH keeps on moaning and even getting angry when I want/need the fan on.

I’m already wearing the bare minimum to stay cool.

I don’t know what else I can do

Last pregnancy I was only 3/4 months pregnancy (great heatwave of 2018 haha). I am normally a sun worshipper however found myself crossing over the road to stay in the shade. By the time I was 9 months (Christmas) I was walking around in the midst of winter is a summer dress and cardigan. Once baby was born my temperature dropped massively and I could not cope with how cold it was (it snowed when he was about three weeks old). Only advice I have, cold hot water bottle and a tub of cool water by the bed. Stick your feet in it. If it's day time run your wrists under cold water.

Good luck to you and your little hot water bottle x

If you can get hold of a silky nighty / pyjamas they really help as they don’t stick so much and slide over your bump!

For the same reason, a silky pillow/sheets can be nice too

I used to put a freezing cold shower over my feet and ankles for ten mins before bed which helped a lot

Is there enough space that you could sleep on a mattress on the floor, so you’re not in bed with two other people? Then slide the mattress under the main bed in the day time maybe?

Keep a bottle of water in the freezer then at night have it ready by the bed to press on your skin/ sip from?

Tie your hair up/cut it short so it doesn’t go sticky on your neck?

Good luck!

Also! There are various products a bit like this cooling pad that might help to sleep on - never tried one so I can’t recommend it personally, but maybe have a google about them:
